The church, no alcohol but public bathrooms!

@peachacid:  Nope! Not once! I have been camping but as my dad liked to call it “rich people camping” (we are NOT by any means rich) but he called it that because they have a little convience store and restroom “houses” every few campsites over complete with showers and electrical outlets..lol. Thats the only way my mother and I would agree to go camping! We DID sleep in a tent though! ..on an air mattress.. Wink

@PinkMermaid:  I’m impressed.  But does that mean you’ve never been to a sports event?  A beer fest?  A fair?  Or just am I unlucky that most of the aforementioned events to which I go only have port-a-potties available?

Give me enough alcohol and I won’t care about the porta potties… but nice bathrooms will never make me forget there is no alcohol.

@peachacid:  I’ve been to a a few Giants games, all which have real restrooms, and I’ve been to several fairs because I adore them. However the fair’s in my town are held at this school like place which has restrooms so they just open those up for the public. Like I said, I’ve been pretty lucky lol. I’m also a bit claustrophobic so that would be an issue for me if I were to try and use a port-a-potty. Not to mention I’ve seen too many people push them over in movies, that I’ve developed an irrational fear of that happening to me.

@kris325:  I say do the outside. Drinks are important (hey even Jesus thinks wine at a wedding must be had!). ppl can pop a squate in the bushes nearby! lol jokes…as long as the potties are spotless it’s ok!

I chose the church, but that’s really because of the early hour of the wedding (although I’m not opposed to day-drinking every once in a while).  I have had to use a port-a-potty in the past and am definitely not a fan, ew!  Have you thought about how many you’ll need to accomodate all your guests (especially with lots of drinks!)?

Outdoor with alcohol and port-a-potties, hands down!!!  I’ve been to several weddings like that and it’s totally no big deal – especially if it wraps up before it’s dark and before people are shit-faced.  Besdies, it sounds like the ceremony would be much more special to you if it were outside.  Tell whomever is the naysayer to MYOB and go with your guts 🙂
