Anybody do U Cut, wholesale, or farmer’s market flowers? My wedding’s in August; I can’t find great info on what’s available then. I’m completely fine with contacting the growers and asking them to make bouquets for me but I was wondering if anyone had gone this route and had any recommendations.

Hi Shirleytemplar, I use the floral market for flowers. However, you have to have a floral market pass to buy anything there, and you can only get those if you’re in the event industry or are a florist. Do you have any friends or acquaintances who have a pass? The floral market is definitely the cheapest with the widest selection of flowers, and you can special request the flowers you want from the vendors. Otherwise, Costco online has a flower ordering section with great prices on beautiful flowers. Hope that helps!

Last year for my daughter’s wedding (Aug 23) we went to the big dahlia farm in Canby, and I bought seven dozen dahlias for only $70.00 total! We went the week before and she picked out the colors/dahlias she liked best-as they come in SO many colors!!! So if you like them it is VERY inexpensive -when you are scheduled to pick them up-just make sure you bring buckets, or pails or vases to pick them up in!! They looked gorgeous!
