Typically after you get a positive opk,you should expect to ovulate 24-36 hours later. So your 14 hours window will still give you a shot. Keep testing until Yur opks turn neg again. Sometimes you’ll get a few days of positive opks in a row, and you might ovulate later than you think if you stop testing now.

Just bd as much as you can in the next couple of days 🙂

Ponce you ovulate, the egg is usuallyviable for no more than 24 hours

I’m new to using OPKs too!

I’ve read that they are super reliable in terms of knowing your “window” – it’s just as likely that you already ovulated before finally getting the positive test.

Keep track of what day in your cycle you normally ovulate, and try to have sex (oh sorry, am I supposed to use BD? haha..) two days before that, the day of, and two days after that. Or EVERY day if you can! Lol!

@mtnhoney:  If she was testing in the days leading up to this and it was her first positive OPK, she wouldn’t have ovulated before it turned positive. The LH surge (which is what is turns the strip positive) is what signals the ovaries to release the egg. You can’t ovulate before that happens.
