I just got some OPK sticks today, so I decided to give it a go. The line is way darker than the control!! I started jumping up and down. (And I’ll be jumping on Darling Husband when he gets home)
I didn’t think I was going to ovulate this month because my temps have been so weird and my cervix position is still high (chart here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/gogoanonon)
BUT… I’m on CD 17… if I get my period the same time I got it last month, that means my luteal phase will only be 11-ish days. That’s too short, isn’t it?
Also, if my temps aren’t reflecting ovulation, and if my cervix position is still high, is it safe to rely only on the positive OPK results?

GoGoAnonon: Sounds like you’re about to O! Most women will get a positive OPK 24-48 hours before they O, so you should have low temps and a HSO cervix when you get your +OPK. Only after you O will your cervix go back to LFC and your temps rise. Look at my old charts and you’ll see what I mean:http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/bananasareyellow
And regarding your LP – 11 days is fine! They say anything over 10 days is okay. Mine was 10 days when I got my BFP! 🙂 Good luck!!

GoGoAnonon: This is exactly me. I think I O on day 17 and my LP is about 11 days long. I didn’t get a super dark test line, though. Did you always get a dark line on your OPK test each month?
also, how do you know what your cervix position is?

GoGoAnonon: A LP shorter than 9 days is problematic. 11 days is perfect. And, regarding your cervix…it should be high before ovulation/when you o. TCOYF rules say that it should SHOW: soft, high, open and wet. If you haven’t read that book I highly recommend it. There seems to be a lot of women on weddingbee that think your cervix should be low, which is incorrect. Ideally it raises up closer to the uterus so it can help sperm get where they need to go.
ETA: sorry, I just realized this is an old post.
