So I realized I have been using this board as a sounding board for my venting. To combat this negativity, I wanted to start a post to ask everyone what the FAVORITE part(s) of their wedding were. I am getting so excited as my wedding quickly approaches and would love to hear what parts everyone else is most excited about for their upcoming weddings or their favorite parts from their weddings that have already occured.
HAPPY FRIDAYY 🙂

Obviously the fact that everyone we love was there. But for material things, I loved the photobooth and the food. I loved that I had a green crinoline and people seemed to love it, by clapping when they saw me lift up my dress when I was walking LOL! I also loved seeing my Darling Husband tear up…awww!

This is a really cute idea, so I’ll help you kick this off & get others to respond! My wedding isn’t taking place for another 7 or so months, but something that makes me really excited is our venue has a fire pit that we are going to use for s’mores. Fiance is from England so none of his family or friends have ever had s’mores before, so I’m really excited to introduce them to it and see what they think!
(And, y’know, being married to Fiance… that’s my *most* favorite part, of course!)

How laid back and casual it all was. It was actually fun for everyone. And very little stress for me!

Ryansgirl: Awww the one thing that stands out the most for me from my sister’s wedding was seeing her husband have a tear roll down his smiling face as she walked down the aisle, it was such a sweet moment! Love the crinoline idea, makes it fun!!

LoveMyBrit: I love the s’mores fire pit that is awesome! We are having our wedding in winter at a vineyard, so one of the drinks will be heated up apple spiced wine so I am super excited about that. Our guests can also go down at any time and have a wine tasting during or before the reception which is also super awesome!

Mrs.Sawyertobe: Love that!! I think that is one of my favorite things about weddings – they really can go so many different directions and give you a little more insight into the couple.

My favorite parts of the wedding were:
-Both sets of our parents who have both been together over 25+ years each praying over us in a football-esque emotional huddle of love before our vows
-The ceremony where I totally lost it crying during our handwritten vows, he teared up too 🙂
-Our first dance was Alicia Keys “If I Ain’t Got You” sung by one of our very talented bridesmaids
-My two MOHs sang a version of “Loathing” from Wicked but changed the words to “Loving” for their speech- they were both vocal performance majors in college so it was AWESOME and so perfect from them for me, I honestly felt so special that they went to the trouble to be so creative and unique 🙂
-The voiceover I did over the Father/Daughter dance explaining why I chose the song I did
Funny- the things I thought would be my favorite part were material details- the dress, the colors, the cake topper (which I ended up forgetting at home lol) but the very best memories cost nothing. Awwww.
Good for future brides to keep perspective on what really matters! *steps off soapbox* 😉

nittanybride14: I loved that the ceremony was short (I hate being the center of attention, and standing up there was hard enough), and I love that it was “formal” but super laid back. I also loved the intimate setting. It was in a mansion- vs say, a ballroom that’s realy open.

Wedding hasn’t happened yet, but my fave thing is just that Fiance and I are getting married and starting our lives together! The venue is quite pretty too.

Seeing the people that were there throughout my life supporting me etc. I loved our wedding colours and that my Mr got to have the car he’d idolised since childhood.
Edit: oh and my perfect dress of course

Wedding is next year, but I am so so so thrilled to be marrying Fiance. After a horrible 5 year marriage to a psychopath, I was pretty sure I would never meet anyone as amazing, caring, loving, and supportive as Fiance.
So excited about having our wonderful friends and families come together that day.

Being married! As much as I loved the wedding and all that, my favourite moment was sitting in our hotel room after on the couch staring at eachother so excited to be husband and wife. We both had silly grins on our faces and we accidently broke a champagne flute we toasted so enthusiastically!

craigslistgirl: This is what I was thinking in my head when I read this question. We are thinking about getting married next year but I am just excited to have a partner for life, someone who has my back through thick and thin 🙂

MrsEME: I’m so nervous for this (centre of attention part)! How did you deal!
