they pretty much look all the same to me. I had to keep staring at them to figure it out.

I picked #1 because I think the vases all compliment each other in that photo.

have you thought about maybe putting the vases around the frame instead of the frame on the ends? And I’m not sure about the blue vases…I would think get clear vases and incorporate the colors through the flowers?

Try putting down a white sheet for the tablecloth, and whatever type of paper you’ll be using in the frame for your table numbers.  That might help tie things in.  What kind of flowers will you be using?

The cobalt vases scream very modern and clean feel to me. I know you said you wanted rustic chic. It would definitely be easier I think to do clear and play up the cobalt in other touches like the napkins and table number and favors. I had a kind of modern color scheme with my wedding, but added rustic elements like moss, wood slices, birch, branching and lanterns. Would you be adding anything like that to your wedding? Maybe if you added a color like green and did more wildflower looking white flowers and did the vases on top of a bed of moss. It would add a rustic element. The blue is definitely going to be harder to work with than clear though! I think you could still make it work though if you try some ideas out and experiment a little. Maybe you can go to the grocery store and pick out a cheap bouquet of flowers and play around with it.

Sorry but I don’t really like the tall clear one it just reminds me of a test tube maybe. It looks way better with just the blue vases.

I like the top one the best.

I would put  a large pillar candle in the largest diameter vase- the one in the front. You could elevate it on clear beads or river rock if needed.

I would put a floating candle in the tallest vase on the left.

I would put flowers in the remaing vase. Perhaps incorporate something like Dusty Miller in your flower arrangement to bring in the grey.

I would nix the small tealight holders with this plan as you would already have two candles.

Those Ikea frames can be spray painted, so you could also have them grey if you want.

I always find that it is very helpful to do a complete mockup. As a  pp suggested, use a white sheet for a cloth, a strip of grey fabric or paper for your runner,  get a grocery store bouquet of flowers you like, a couple of candles and see whether you are happy with the results.

I used the same clear bud vase from ikea for my cocktail hour. We put a single garden rose in it. I loved it! I suggest with your color scheme that you use yellow flowers. I think that would add more color to your table setting.

Can I ask how much those vases were? I have been looking everywhere for Cobalt blue vases and there’s an Ikea about an hour from me. Thanks!

I picked one, because it looked the neatest. For some reason, that clear vase that you started using in picture #2 looks like an Erlenmeyer flask.. the kind you use in chemistry and I don’t really like it.
