    There is plastic silverware that looks real, called Reflections. It’s available on Amazon. From what I understand, it’s pretty heavy duty and looks nice as well.

    You can also use clear glass plates instead of chargers , then still use regular silverware and glassware.

    Dollartree sells clear glass plates for $1.00

    I think it depends on the formality of your event.  If you’re having a more formal event, I’d avoid any plastic plates/silverware.  Otherwise, not a big deal!

    i’m using nice plastic plates they look like real china, that’s white with a silver trim. My wedding however is not as formal as most of the ones on here, so it really just depends on how formal your reception will be.  I love the look of our plastic plates, was going to go with clear, but found these on sale at Sam’s, and the best part is it’s easy clean up and cheap.
