That’s awesome! Congrats!

Do you mind me asking what your bleeding was like when you were first going through this? I ask because I was sure I was having a chemical pregnancy on Thursday/Friday but now things seem to have cleared up and I’m not so sure. I’m just curious about other’s experiences. (Also, I’ve seen a doctor but won’t know anything until Monday when we test my HCG again)

fleabagftw :  That’s upsetting that they didn’t even test your HCG! Things are looking well now though so fingers crossed for you!

So on Thursday evening, I had some light brown spotting that turned into bright red and there was a fair amount on the toilet paper- like the equivalent of a regular day on my period but not a heavy day, if that makes sense. I put on a pad overnight and there were still only two small spots in the morning.

Friday morning I went to the doctor, they took blood to measure HCG and I had a good amount they said (should be between 0-500 and I had about 260?). Throughtout the day I continued to alternate with bright red and pink blood, and I filled one pad throughout the whole day. Then it seemed to taper off Friday evening. No blood overnight on Friday and all day yesterday was veeeeeeery light spotting, if anything. No blood overnight last night either. On Friday when the bleeding was heaviest I had some light cramps, but I’ve had light cramps all week well before this even started.

So the negatives are red blood, more than spotting but the positives are (I think) no cramps, good HCG levels and from an overall perspective there was not too much blood. I go back Monday for more blood to see if my HCG is rising. I’m feeling cautiously optimistic but also of course realistic.

fleabagftw :  I’m actually Canadian! So getting early blood tests etc is definitely not the norm. They only did it so we can confirm whether or not there’s an issue. With my last pregnancy, I wasnt even seen until I was 12 weeks.
