Going under cover here bees for some privacy….
Last month I had an unusually painful period. I have been on BC pills for several years but Fiance and I do not use any form of backup birth control. I am usually pretty good about remembering to take my pills but I will occasionally miss one if my schedule changes. Last month, however, I did not miss any pills. My periods are normally very light (almost spotting, never enough to fill a tampon or pad) and only last for about three days. They are also always right on time, nearly to the hour. Last month I had the worst cramping I’ve ever experienced with a period. My period was also unusually heavy and lasted for more than a week….and here’s the strangest part, I passed a weird bubble like thing. I could actually feel it come out and when I looked in the toilet it looked like a bubble, not like a clot. It was maybe about half an inch in size so it was not small. I flushed it which is dumb. I now realize that I should have tried to fish it out and called my doctor. At first I tried not to think much of it….maybe it was a clot or I have heard of large portions of the uterine lining coming out all at once and thought maybe that was it. But now, the more I think about it, I’m thinking it could have been an early miscarriage. If it was a miscarriage I didn’t know I was pregnant so I’m not feeling like I’ve had a huge loss….
Is what I described above indicative of an early miscarriage? Or am I just overthinking a randomly heavy period…
I guess I’m just looking to hear if anyone has had a similar experience ever. There’s probably no way to know for sure if it was a miscarriage or not at this point. If it was a miscarriage what does that mean for us in the future when we start trying for a baby? Should I be concerned?
