I don’t quite no where to begin! We are not trying to conceive, but one thing led to another last Thursday (April 29th) and we had unprotected sex, which also happened to be my most fertile day according to my cervical mucus (lovely, I know). That night I also ovulated.
For the last couple of days I have been feeling strange. I have had cramps off and on, a lot of creamy cm, and my nipples (which, Too Much Information, are normally partially inverted) are swollen and popped out. None of this is normal for me.
I know it’s not typical to experience pregnancy symptoms so soon, but I have read that it does happen… it’s too early to take a pregnancy test, so I’m basically just going crazy here!
Did any of you pregnant bees have a similar experience? I’ve been all over the internet looking things up, and I’m hoping this thread will help me chill a little until I can take a pregnancy test (not for another 5 days at the earliest)!

It’s getting a little fuzzy for me now, but I don’t think I had too many symptoms until about 4 or 5 days before a missed period (maybe just some mild ovarian pain on the side I ovulated on). However, there are a few people here who talked about symptoms from the earliest moments.
I hope things work out the way you want them to, and I know it’s virtually impossible to not freak out, but try to distract yourself and not worry too much until you are able to test. My positive came 4 or 5 days before the missed period.
We’re here for you.

The creamy CM post-ovulation is a big red flag to me. Unless your normal pattern includes sticky instead of dry days, it sounds like you might be pregnant. I conceived last month and had the same symptoms starting just a few days after conception.

Thanks for your input! Like I said, we weren’t trying to conceive, but I can’t stop hoping that we did… Apparently I’m ready to be a mom! The waiting is really hard, though, and it’s so hard not to obsess about it in the mean time.

yay, another Austin bee! I did not notice these symptoms…my first symptoms were all breast related starting maybe cycle day 20-22.

I noticed my symptoms (headaches, slightly nauseaus, creamy mucus) right away and tested very early on. I could see a very faint positive line. Also confirmed it with higher first temp of the day readings. Well, a few more days and you’ll find out. Having sex during cervical mucus fertile time and then ovulating is a huge predictor, in my book. Worked in my case. 🙂

Yeah SO hard not to obsess – I think the best symptom you might be pregnant is unprotected sex on a very fertile day 🙂 I tried not to pay too much attention when we were TTC so I wouldn’t obsess -the only thing I really remember is peeing more!
good luck and keep us updated!

Well, my latest “symptom”, if that’s what this is, is nausea. I woke up last night with my hand tingling really badly where I had been sleeping on it. Sometimes when that happens it helps for me to run hot water over my hand (speeds up circulation) so I went in the bathroom to do that. While I was waiting for the water to heat up I was overcome by dizziness and nausea, so that I had to sit down with my head between my legs for a good 5 minutes or so.
Then today, my husband came home for lunch today and whatever he made was enough to make me leave the room for the smell of it.
Everything “official” I read says I should be experiencing this symptom yet, but a lot of “unofficial” sources seem to disagree, so who knows. If I turn out not to be pregnant I am going to be making an appointment with my doctor to make sure nothing else is going on. Lots of symptoms for this to be nothing!

No two pregnancies are the same MissRain, so in all possibility these could be real symptoms. I can’t wait until you test and we know more 🙂

My very first pregnancy symptom was heightened sense of smell! It happened pretty early too, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me.

hightened sense of smell was definitely the one early sympton i had. Sounds like you kust might be pregnant..you can probably take a test (the ones from Dollar Tree are pretty good..believe me..my positive is 2.5 years now!)
Good luck! wish you the best!!!

What’s the earliest you got a positive pregnancy test? I think we are going to test on Friday, which will will be 9 dpo (unless I ovulated earlier than I think I did). I have a little stock-pile of tests for follow-up tests, though, should it be positive (and we want proof!) or negative (so we can keep testing every couple of days).
The nausea has continued, though nothing as rough as that first night. I have a job interview in 4 hours, so hopefully it won’t act up too much during that process!

Good luck on the interview! I hope you don’t feel too sick during it.

I know this may not help much, but plotting my temperature after ovulation a few days/week it’ll start slowly going down until my period. Have you noticed a decline or has your temperature stayed that same…if your pregnant, your temperature will stay the same or go up some even when you’re supposed to have your period but by then you will have taken a pregnancy test. Good luck!
