My Fiance & I have been together for 5 years, and he has been looking for a ring for a little while, but nothing that spoke to him. He is incredibly busy with work, so finding the time to meet with a jeweler was tough and he didn’t have enough time before we headed off to 2 weeks of awesome in Europe (Prague and Paris!) this past fall.
While in Prague, the romanticism of the place and the perfect ring (that I gravitated towards) made it the perfect place to call it official. I chose the ring, we purchased together, and then he officially proposed to me under the Astrological clock in Old Town, Prague.
Now, it’s a pretty small diamond (compared to the many rocks I have seen, both in person and on forums like this) but it was what was affordable (and the prices seemed to have been pretty high, especially since we were in a tourist area) (but the moment really spoke to us).
I am just wondering if anyone knew whether or not I’d be able to put in a bigger stone in the future? Maybe 5 years down the road? Or would I have to get a whole new ring? I love the setting!
Currently, it sits at .25ct (but the brilliance of it makes it look like a .5ct). 18K gold white & yellow gold.
Here’s a pic of the setting from their website:
And a crappy iPhone pic I just took to see what it looks like on my finger. My finger is a size 5.
