- Wedding: July 2012
I went for my first bridal appointment today and may have found my dress.
It’s Alfred Angelo 1516.
I went with my Fiance and it went great. He took pictures of me in our top choice and everything. I have to go back with my mom and Maid/Matron of Honor in two weeks to show them before I buy. I’m pretty nervous about that, though. My mom and I don’t really have a meshing fashion sense. I tried on one that she liked today that was off the shoulder but I can’t stand off the shoulder. They are also ordering a Dream in Color dress that I had liked but wasn’t in stock in the store for me to try as well.
This dress was a little more dress than I thought I would be drawn to. It’s Dream in Color, which I was looking at from the beginning, although lately I had been looking at more traditional bridal gowns. And the train is semi-cathedral and I was initially only looking at Chapel and Sweep trains. Also, it’s satin. I’ve posted this before but now that I loved this dress so much I’m a bit concerned that heavy satin and a longish train will make for a terrible combination for my 30 minute outdoor ceremony on July 7th. I’d rather not settle for a dress that I don’t love though. Of all the dresses I tried on today this one was the only one that really made me feel like a princess, as cliche as that sounds.
