@yessy82:  I just got one recently… asking me to consider it sold and they would add an extra $50 for that, and to give them my paypal address

@yessy82:  Yes, I was especially skeptical after I saw that that member was just added the day before, engaged the day before, getting married that day…

It is getting harder for honest people to buy and sell anything anymore because scammers are taking over.

Yes, scammers are common.  Just a quick note that if you see a scam pm, you can post a support request, and someone will tend to it as soon as possible.  Thanks!

@BluePeaches:  I got the same e-mail, don’t trust anyone who says they will arrange the pickup. Paypal rules are very clear to protect the seller. All items sold must be shipped to the buyer from the seller to the address on the person who paid’s paypal account and then the item must be shipped with a tracking number and must be signed for. It’s the only way to be safe!!!

@yessy82:  I have had this problem on craigslist. I was even worried that my email would be hacked and pulled the post. Creeps me out!

I know all about ID theft. i had my purse stole out of my locker at my college a few years ago (yes it was locked, the guy broke the lock off a bunch of lockers and cleared them all). anyway they got him a few days later but i never got my stuff back so i have no idea what happen to my stuff which included my id, debit card and my social security card! I acted fast to get all new stuff and stop everything but you still never know with scammers what they can do with that kind of info. For awhile i was getting calls about coming to doctor visits I never made so im guessing that was about that. Never know who you can trust.

Silly question, but why do scammers say that they will arrange a service to pick it up instead of having you ship to them?
