- Wedding: November 2009
A friend of mine recently quit her job and moved to the other side of the country on a whim…she just got an apartment there and is job searching. She didn’t realize how much higher her day to day expenses would be or how expensive moving is and its all more than she expected. She called me to let me know she may not be able to make it back for the wedding depending on her finances, of course I understand and something things happen. I hope her new city and everything works out for her and that she can come back for the wedding. I don’t want to replace her, I chose these girls because they’re important to me.
My wedding is still a couple months away, I told her if she can get a last minute seat sale or if things change to let me know…her dress is bought, paid for and altered. In the meantime though, should I order her bouquet? I’ve ordered their presents from Tiffany, should I still give her the one I ordered for her even though she’s dropped out? I have her dress since she moved before they came in, I told her I’ll hang on to it and if she can make it then she’s got a dress anyway.
I’m thinking I’ll just carry one without her as Bridesmaid or Best Man and rearrange the processional, recessional and everything else. If she does come in on a last minute seat sale though after the programs etc are printed how odd would it be to have a Bridesmaid or Best Man who’s not listed on anything?
