Buying engagement ring for Girlfriend. Just trying to make sure I made the right choice — was choosing between 1 and 1.2 carat cushion diamond in a halo setting (https://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/french-set-halo-diamond-v-band-engagement-ring-in-18kt-white-gold/4645).
I went with a 1.2, but I’m fearing that this may look too big — my Girlfriend wants a very subtle look. Can you please post 1 or 1.2 carat cushion cuts in halo settings with ring and carat sizes (opinions welcome too!)?

0.2 is such a minute difference I doubt it will look “gaudy” or large!
I think you’ll be perfect!
Sorry I have no pictures to show, I’m still waiting for my boyfriend to propose (the guy has had the ring for over two months. Ugh!)

My ring is a 1.0 carat cushion halo on a size 5 finger. Since .2 carats is such a small difference I would choose whichever diamond has better color/clarity! Here’s a pic of my ring on my size 5 finger:

Cushion diamonds tend to face up on the smaller side–as compared to a round brilliant– so either way I bet she would adore a beautiful 1.2 carat cushion in a halo.

I don’t have a cushion halo. But here is a picture of mine and my friend’s ring. Hers is the 1ct center diamond white gold. Mine is 1.2ct center diamond yellow gold. It doesn’t look much different size-wise in my opionion.

The naked eye probably won’t notice a .2 difference. I also wanted to tell you that we ordered from Ritani and the experience was AMAZING. I had my ring independently appraised (twice!!!), and it is worth $3k more than we paid for it.
