I haven’t posted my dress in a while…so why the heck not. Got mine at a small boutique outside of Seattle.

My advice would be to not overlook small boutiques, because seriously, I went to all the supposedly fancy schmacy boutiques in seattle/bellevue and I didn’t get anywhere near the elegant ambiance and personal level of customer service that I did at a small boutique. And most of them carry the same stuff the fancy ones do.

Mine is a Paloma Blanca/Mikaella gown. I had no idea I wanted this style…until I put it on and it fit like a glove and made me feel like a size two.

Well if you insist. =) I got mine at Kleinfeld in NY, and the experience was fantastic. Definitely go in with pictures of dresses you like, and Keasha is AMAZING. She found my dress in less than an hour.

Kleinfeld!!! I actually protested going there because of all the hype from the show (silly, I know.. especially since I love the show). Well.. turns out they were the only ones that had the dress I wanted to try on!  My consultant was Dianne and she was AWESOME! I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and left with the dress I had come for.

I got my dress at Gabriella in NYC. If you are dress shopping in NYC you *have* to go to Gabriella. The salon is so nice and the consultants are great. Gabriella is usually around as well and is so sweet.

In my dress search I went to 7+ salons and tried on over 50 dresses. I finally settled on Anouk by Ulla Maija and LOVED it.

The sample (too small):

You all are probably so tired of seeing my dress.  I got it at the Pronovias flagship store in NYC.  It was a long journey finding it.  My experience wasn’t amazing or anything.  Nor was it terrible.  Like PP mentioned, I too had better expereinces with smaller shops, just didnt find my dress at any of them.

@MASPA: I went to the pronovias flagship as well.

My first appointment there was pretty good (went with friends). When I brought my parents with me to revisit a dress and try on a few more, they were not nearly as nice and seemed really put off when I said I needed some more time to think about which dress I wanted.

@KatNYC2011: do you remember who your consultant(s) were? mine was nice but really didnt seem enthused when I came back 45 minutes after my appointment ended to buy a dress,  I guess she didnt really care about making the sale.

@MASPA: I can’t remember her name. She was actually the consultant that one of my friends bought her dress from. Maybe that was why she was so nice the first time around (since my friend was there).

I think her name was Caitlin or something like that?

@KatNYC2011: My consultant’s name began with an I.  Iliana or something like that.  She actually looked a whole lot like one of my eccentric college professors.  So maybe I thouhgt she would be just as kooky.  lol.

I got mine at the Pronovias Flagship store in NYC as well.  My consultant was Katerina and she was awesome.  I had a great experience there and without Katerina, I wouldn’t have found THE dress!
