Here’s my mom’s.  It’s from Montage by Mon Cheri.

I can’t find a photo of FMIL’s.  🙁

Sorry for the huge pictures. I’m really just to lazy to figure out how to resize them. We had a small, pretty casual wedding, adn I pretty much told them to wear whatever they wanted.

Girl, let me tell you, was this an ordeal with my mother.  We didn’t find her dress until 3 weeks prior to the wedding!  I was shocked, but she found her dress at Jessica McClintock in the end!

How old is she and how is she built? What I’d pick in my 40’s would definitely change if I was in my 50’s or older.

You should check Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s and there are many online sites as well for most designers. Long? Short? Is there a price she doesn’t want to go over? My best  finds were in local boutiques, tho.

I wore one by Cameron Blake and another was Jade by Jasmine.

Cameron Blake 19626 Dress this is what I wore with a black crystal brooch on the knot at the hip, with diamond jewelry. I prefer simple and tailored.

J8807this is the jade, but mine was in chocolate and the center panel was removed.

My mom is quite small and looked comfortable and chic in this little blue number. It was from some regular store. Laura Petites, i think.

@galloway111: I’ve found that what many MOB’s have done is shop mostly online. Order several from the same store in their sizes, and return what they don’t like. I know one who ordered 10 from Dillard’s and sent them all back. Some online stores have flat rate shipping, so it doesn’t matter how many you order.

She can look in JC Penney’s online..they always have dresses on sale, and so does Macy’s.

My sister got hers from Pacific Plex in teal and its gorgeous (long, tho) and cheap too. She’s the fussiest person I know with shopping, and I finally convinced her to stop running herself ragged and shop online.

Both of our wedddings were in warmer months too…May and June, but after outdoor ceremonies, the receptions were air conditioned, so it didn’t matter.

This is my mom’s.  She wanted simple and navy too.
