Sod it. This is my dress, I love it and I fully intend to wear it again.

I love the golden silk. I love the 18th century-inspired bodice. I love the three different skirts with their respective petticoats.

I also love that it’s uniquely mine.

I know I’ve posted it way too many times, but I like joining in!

@katiedee:  Seriously gorgeous. I love the lines of it and I LOVE the shoulder strap.  My husband isn’t a fan of one shouldered but if I’d seen your dress before I purchased I wouldn’ve said screw him 🙂

Here’s mine – just like yours it started out as something that looked very different from the results after alterations!

My beauty! This is from when I tried it on.  I’m changing the neckline to a sweetheart neckline.  I’m also having the applique removed, and I’ll wear a sash instead. Yay!

Here’s mine. What I loved most was the simplicity — and it has a detachable bottom (the ruffled part) 🙂 I got it with zipper back so I can wear it again.

@Blanche:  yep, yours is pretty much exactly what i had in mind when i set out to change mine! honestly i probably would have altered it to a sweetheart if i had more time, but i am really happy with how it turned out with the one shoulder. thanks again for the compliment, your dress is amazing as well =)

I’ve posted these so many times in the past day but I can’t help it. My ball gown is finally fitted after a year and 4 months of it sitting at the store!

My dress was so different to what I thought I’d buy, but deep down I always wanted a lace dress. It made me feel skinny, even though it was tightly fitted

This is me in my Gallina Signature with the added sash.  I adore the skirt of this dress, so dramatic and fun although a bit heavy!  I’m a bit self conscious still because of my larger size, but I felt good in this dress.  Let me know what you think!  This is the ivory sample, I ordered it in white.  This also wasn’t my exact size which is why the bust area doesn’t look quite right.

Here she is!! I have posted her a couple of times before, but I can’t resist a dress thread!!
My favourite thing about my dress…. it was so soft to touch!! I had my hands on it alll night!  I also LOVED the train – I wish I had a better picture of the train.  Maybe when we get our pro pics back?   And also, the sash I ordered from Etsy.  It made the dress!
