One other “original” thing… The reception venue table setup. I wanted something completely different and unique for my table set up, that would encorporate my love of rectangular tables, my mom’s insistence on a head table, and that would still promote and allow the feeling of a large family dinner, and let people chat with people around them.
we came up with this (my DH’s CAD drawing of it)

My cousin recently noted how she loved the set-up as it still allowed her to see and chat with other people around her. The venue people could not stop talking about the unique set-up! I was just thrilled when i saw it finally put together. π

@k_trini05: Thanks so much! I want to order them while they’re still there and on sale… but can you do me a favor and click the color options and confirm or deny that Sangria is your same color? Because that is a gorgeous color that you picked, but I’m not quite sure that it is the same color. I don’t want to order them and then be disappointed. Thank you so much!!!

@LeonardLady: Yes, Sangria is the same color. It just looks different on the website. They turned out really good in pictures. Here’s anopic pic that shows them closer.

I loved our boutonnieres π we got a lot of negative feedback on the Bee before we bought them, but we have zero regrets! They were honestly PERFECT & I loved them & so did the guests π

I also loved how our photos took place on a back alley with graffiti π

@DanielleElizabeth: That was in Mystic Connecticut/Mass, right? I remember that tank with the whales! My dad took me on a visit to the aquarium there when I was 11 when he was building a golf course in Connecticut & it was just a magical visit that I will never forget! I hope your wedding is incredible!

@CookieCharmer: Love the screeching in!
Saw the sou’wester and reminded me of part of our wedding: my mom’s partner is an Albertan farmer. He dressed western for the wedding, including a black cowboy hat.
To help him fit in, we had a surprise for him: we presented him with a black sou’wester at the end of my Husband’s speech/toast. Everyone loved it, and I ended up wearing his cowboy hat for quite some time

@cirk: Sure am! That’s a lot of veil, holy crap…lol
The place was made famous for weddings when one couple had a mariachi band play at their ceremony and the whale LOVED them and danced along with the guys playing. It’s on YouTube π

@MichiganGirl24: It’s a Theia Coutoure dress π It was super comfortable & light weight, plus it looked so pretty when I walked because it was so flowy π
Here’s a pic of it at my fitting that shows how flowy it is (btw, it’s a size 8 & I’m selling it for really cheap, if interested PM me.) & also a pic of the bust flowers/beading.
