So my SO and I have gotten to talking more in depth about future baby names after recently learning my cousin is expecting her first child. He had some awful ideas for boy names, but we both agreed on Lucah because we are both Italian and love the uniqueness of the name. We decided we should have a girl name on hand as well so he isn’t fighting me and pregnancy hormones.
This is where it gets tricky
He insists that both names now must start with an L because “it sounds catchy”. He likes Lilleigh (Lilly, but with that spelling). I HATE the name nd spelling. I Lso reccomended Lilliana as it is the Italian version of lilly. It wasn’t my favorite, but I was compromising as he hated my dream little girl name.
So I would love to see some little girl names, hopefully which start with L
Other good boy and girl name pairs also welcome!

I would stick with Italian names. Luca or “Lilleigh” sounds like an odd either/or combination to me.
Is there a female version of ‘Luca’?

thank you for the multiple responses! I probably should have mentioned I’m a teacher, so any fairly common names are pretty much out:(
that’s definitely not one I have heard, but I may like it.

I belive it is lucianna, but we weren’t a fan. That was why I suggested Lilliana, which is italian for Lilly but eh.

Might not be Italian but: Laney, Leah, Lauren, Laurel, Layla, Layna, Lillian

Wouldn’t Lilleigh actually be pronounced (according to the rules of the English language) as Lil-aye? Please don’t let him do that to your child! Way too odd!

I do like Lily, but Lori, Laura, Lena, Laila, Lisa, Lana, Lorelei…

I have a nephew named Luca- love it! Here are some Italian girl options: Lina, Lola, Lia, Liana, Luna

“Leigh” is commonly pronounced “Lee”, but I’m sure the spelling would give people pause
the only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned (I think) is Leona.

- Wedding: April 2017 - Not sure
My baby girl name was Serenity, if I were to have kids.
Lorraine, Lacey, Luna, Lynette, Lenore (Never more!!), Lucinda, Laine, Lyric…
One name I have only heard once was my boss’s name, Zoya. She said her parents had to ask permission to have their daughter named Zoya, as it was a name of royalty…? She may have been shittin’ me, but even if it was nonsense, she still made me smile. She was born in the Ukraine 😄
