STAY AWAY FROM GOOGLE, self diagnosing is the worst thing you can do.
Just try to think positively!

I got this a while ago and it went on for a few months. I stopped taking birth control and it disappeared completely. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about switching to a different pill to see if it helps.

I had this happening when I was off birth control- apparently, it was an issue with my cervix {sensitive, or extra blood vessels, or extra sensitive blood vessels, or something…} they did a biopsy, everything came back fine, and then they cauterized a few veins and everything was good to go. There was some discomfort in the procedures, but no issues after a few days of anything else. I’m sure it’s nothing, but good luck to you 🙂

I’m not much help since I’ve actually never had a pap smear in my life (yeah, I know, that’s not good!) and I’ve only been with one partner, my Fiance.

But I do sometimes experience this same problem. It’s never much at all, but it does happen probably once every couple months.

So althought I can’t help, just know that you are not the only one.

@littlemiss604:  Sounds like a UTI to me. I’d go see your doctor ASAP. I had an untreated UTI – it had probably been in my system for several months already – before I was doubled over in pain and screaming on the floor. 14 months later and I’m still recovering, as it caused scarring and residual pain which has only started to subsize the past two months.

Get it checked NOW … no one should have to live through the hell I’ve been through over the past year.

@littlemiss604:  Did your doc do a culture at your appointment (kind of like a pap but looking for bacteria isntead of cell samples)?

They wouldn’t do a culture unless you were having problems. You said you had the pap previous to the bleeding, right? Only reason I ask is because it really could be something as simple as a bacterial infection that is causing the bleeding but they won’t know unless the culture you.
