Best thing you can do is stop looking at dresses! It sounds like you got a great deal & like the dress you got. Dress regret is somewhat unavoidable, but try to focus on what you love about the one you chose, & remember why you chose it!

@NYCowgirl:  What is it about this dress that made you choose it over the other dress?   Overall look, the way it made you feel, cost, etc?    Go back to that feeling and just run with it.   You choose this dress for a reason, and probably a good reason at that!  This one probably makes you feel just a bit more happy, a bit more you, a bit more “wow” than the other dress.    And if you got a great deal, even better of a reason to just LOVE your dress!  🙂  Congrats on the dress, and stop worrying!  You’ll look gorgeous on your wedding day and that is all that matters!  (and true wuv) 🙂

@VioletSky:  So true!  I tried to stop looking at the dress posts on here once I picked my dress.  But then I realized I was comparing all the other dresses to mine, and that is when I was sure!

Plus it doesn’t hurt to look at pictures of yourself in the dress now and again to remind yourself how awesome and perfect your dress is for you!

yeah, definitely stop looking at other dresses and just keep thinking about the feelings you had when you tried on your dress.

i didn’t tell anyone, but i had such anxiety after i ordered my dress. the dress i chose was not something i asked to see/try on, it was something that was chosen by the consultant. i don’t even remember seeing the dress online or anything before then. when i got home and looked up the dress, i got a little panicky. the picture on the website did not do the dress justice at all. it didn’t even really look like my dress. i started to worry that maybe i had made a mistake. but i kept telling myself that there was a reason (actually, many reasons) why i chose the dress. i got tears in my eyes when i saw myself in it; when i walked out, everyone said, “wow!”; my mom said many times that as soon as she saw my face she knew it was the one. so i just tried to think positive and stop second guessing my decision.

when my dress arrived and i finally got to see it again and try it on, all my fears went away and i knew i had made a good choice.

Its hard to cut off all the momentum of dress shopping. Getting mentally prepared to accept making such a big purchase is a feat in itself and hard to let go once the purchase is made, especially if u happen to purchase early on in the dress shopping experience. Don’t worry. Just stop looking and u will soon be nothing but excited about finding ur dress! Congrats!

@NYCowgirl:  oh trust me, we all know how u feel! congrats, ur completely normal!

i probably tried on as many dresses as u did, and i actually tried on ‘the one’ at an early appt back in Oct. I didnt like it all that much bec i wanted a certain look and this one was a little bit different. everyone else loved it, but i didnt. once i started looking over photographs, tho…i could see that it was waaaaay better than the others. it fit me better, looked better in photographs, so eventually i started obsessing over trying to find a better one. and i finally realized i was obsessing over it because i really did like it and it had really grown on me so much over the weeks. so thats how i knew mine was the one.

basically, i dont think i will get dress regret because i know how important it is for me to see the dress on me IN A PICTURE. if i cant get to the dress to try it on, see it on me in a pic, then i dont think ill have any trouble surfing around dress threads or looking at pics. i just have no desire to try any more dresses on, simple as that.

but u did such a good job with ur negotiating, so props for that!! every time u slip it on u will remember why it was THE ONE!!! yes i think if u post pics, everyone will help make u feel better about ur choice. warning, tho: i promise u will get bees saying they dont like it, no matter what it looks like. but thats fine, not everybody has to like the same dresses. i say POST AWAY!!

After I ordered my dress, I began second guessing myself. However, when it came in and I was able to try it on again, I knew I made the right decision. There’s a reason why you chose that dress and you will rediscover that reason.

@VioletSky:  +1.

Stop looking at other dresses. The problem is that there are ALWAYS new dresses coming out, and you’re bound to find others you like just as much.

I love it! I think the pickups r very well placed and not overdone! The embellishments give the perfect amount of bling without being distracting. and the smile on ur face says so much! Great choice!
