I’m going for my makeup trial today and I’m really nervous because I did not like how my engagement picture makeup was done (I’m giving her a second chance to nail it otherwise I’m going to book someone else!)
Please post your bridal makeup shots for inspiration!

@Fusco737: I hope it goes okay today! I really wanted a more subdued/natural look, so we ended up with this at my trial:

What’s your coloring like? I used this as my inspiration for a wedding I was in recently and I LOVED it.I also have similar feature though so it worked.

Wow!! Everyone’s makeup looks great! Did you ladies use airbrush?
Im having a hard time because I typically don’t wear a lot of makeup, just powder & eye makeup. I didn’t like the airbrush because I felt it aged me (though maybe a lighter coat would be ok), the standard foundation makes me look too shiny. I tired to go subdued (which looks like a lot in person) but doesn’t show up as much in pics.
I feel like I’m having a hard time getting a natural yet glamourous look that photographs well. Any suggestions? I’m trying to find another artist to compare.

A little sloppy, since we ran outside to get a few pics during the reception, but it started out cleaner-looking than this, I swear. haha

@Fusco737: I’m sure it will be lovely! I definitely remember it being nerve wracking, but like all other wedding plans we wind up worrying about it way more than necessary!
My artist that I was going to go with flaked on me at the last minute, but thank goodness I have a friend who is the MUA for the local newstation. She pushed her appointments out of the way so we could get me taken care of on the wedding day.
I really had no idea what I wanted. I knew something “Beachy and romantic” was the feel I wanted, and she worked her magic from there.

@Fusco737: I did use airbrush, but it was my personal airbrush. I did my own makeup instead of hirirng a makeup artist. I just played around for quite a while leading up to the wedding to find out what types of makeup worked best and photographed best.
