Although I like the sound of your choice better, my theory was that my husband had to wear it and that he’s not choosing MY outfit, so I let him choose.  Hopefully you can just convince him your idea is better πŸ˜€  Here are my guys!

My choice would depend on your dress and the bridesmaids dresses/

Here’s my Darling Husband in his suit.  He’s wearing tuxedo accessories, tie, vest and shoes.  But the tuxedo place screwed up on his tux, so he could wear it. Thank goodness he brought a suit.

@stephanie63087: My husband’s tie was WHITE and my dress was ivory.  I was really worried about it, but it ended up looking fine.  Honestly, if the vest is under a jacket that’s buttoned up, you don’t even see a whole lot of it anyway.  I’d only be worried if he was wearing a full ivory suit!

@stephanie63087: I know, I am a complete worrywart myself.  I even considered getting ivory table cloths and napkins because I was worried about the white against my dress.  But I didn’t in the end!  It’ll be ok whatever you pick!

I dont know if this helps at all but when we chose our Tux’s she had the guys get a Ivory shirts because she said that having white shirts may make my dress look dirty. Since everything I had was ivory I did not have that issue but I did hold a white dress shirt up to my dress after the wedding and it defiantly made my dress look yellow so I’m glad I went with the colors that I did.

Darling Husband wore (like your Fiance wants) A black tux with a Ivory Shirt, Tie and Vest (Match Me)

Best men wore Black tux, Ivory Shrit and Plum Vest and Ties (Match the MOH’s)

Groomsmen wore Black tux, Ivory Shirt, Platinum Vest and Ties (Match Bridesmaids)

@stephanie63087:  I don’t know if this will help, but my Darling Husband was wearing an ivory shirt even though it looks white in the pictures.

I don’t think you need to worry about the vest being too light or two dark. He will have a jacket on over it, and even if his vest is a little darker, it will look like an accent color. Plus, it won’t ever show right up against your dress.

Darling Husband wore a tux with an ivory shirt, tie, and vest.  I wore an ivory dress.  The groomsmen wore tuxes with dark purple vests and ties, and ivory shirts.
