Our Cake is included in our venue food cost…even though it is an outside baker.  We chose to have different layers 1 vanilla buttercream, 2 lemon/orange, which normally I would have been against but this woman make the most unbelievable lemon/orange cake.  I have been craving it since we tasted it.

Ours will be 3 tiers with alternating chocolate and vanilla cake and canoli filling. We’re thinking it going to be around $450 when its all said and done.

Inspiration Pic…

Pic from our bakeries website that our cake will be made to look just like…

Ours was $7 a slice, which was the least expensive I could find in NYC.

One layer was chocolate with strawberry filling. The other marble with dulce de leche filling. And the other I can’t remember. I made it myself though. It was probably about $100 since I had to buy supplies and do a couple of test runs.

This is a lily cake we did a couple months back for a small wedding. We charged $150 for it. We are in Arkansas, I think what you pay for a cake is really based on where you live. Wedding cakes here range from $2-5 a serving.

We had petit fours made at a local bakery. For 30, we paid $45, so I guess that’s $1.50 a “slice.” Good old white and chocolate cake!
