Just think of all the time you will have now! Possibly a new hobby. I feel like everything I did before getting engaged has disappeared. I loved to read, decorate, all sorts of jazz and lately its just wedding wedding wedding.

Is there something you did before that you could pick back up again?

Our wedding isn’t until next July, but I was just asking Fiance ‘What did I do before wedding planning?!’

It’s like it’s taken over my life and I”m just so excited, I can’t help but spend all my time on WeddingBee or thinking about it or planning it. It’s crazy.

I’ll feel just like you in about 9 months lol

Personally I hated wedding planning so  I was glad when it was done.  My best suggestion is to find a hobby, go out with friends, plan a Halloween party, go to a cooking class, take up a new exercise routine…you get the picture.  I felt bad because I was turning down social invitations this summer because of vendor meetings, wedding planning crap, etc. so now I’ve been trying to go out with people every time I am asked, or else I ask people to come over.  You have so much time again, time to enjoy it.  πŸ™‚

I loved planning our wedding, and I loved the wedding itself, but I’m still relieved that it’s over and I can have my life back and stop hemorrhaging money!

The only thing I felt bummed about was how trashed and cluttered our apartment was when we got home from the hotel the next day.  Friends had come by and dropped off all of our decor and supplies, we had a car full of presents to find homes for, etc.  It was a mess.  It really helped me find “closure” to put our apartment back together again and load up boxes with donations for Goodwill (we got a lot of new kitchen stuff and had old things to get rid of).

I second the suggestions to pick up a new hobby.  I’m finally able to dedicate time to my crocheting again and I love it.  Our friends are having a baby in February, so I get to design and make a blanket for them, and finish up an afghan I started before life got crazy with wedding stuff.  Granted, I need to bang out these thank-you cards first…

I love the idea of trash the dress photo shoots! I know many people think it’s waste of money with how much people spend on dresses but it looks like so much fun!

I’ve heard about the wedding blues because your time was dedicated to planning for so long and it was over in few hours!

Getting back into hobbies is great ideas. Make yourself a photo album of your wedding if you like that type of crafting! πŸ™‚
