Is anyone else sad that there wedding is over? Mine was on March 20,2010 and I sometimes wish I could have a do over. That morning I was sick. Running in and out of the bathroom ten times in a row. Then our reception was four hours long. I spent most of my time circulating the room because we did not have a receiving line. I am tempted on my honeymoon to bring the dress with me and re-live the whole event one more time. Find a small chapel or something and get married if I can convince my fiance. Or keep the dress and have a re-commitment ceremony in ten years.

i think that the wedding on the honeymoon sounds fantastic!! i would do that for sure, and then have a recommitment too!!

The recommitment ceremony would be a great way to keep yourself from gaining a ton of weight after getting married since you want to keep fitting in that dress!

I didn’t really love the way my hair turned out on my wedding day and didn’t want to make a fuss about it, so my husband and I took some “day after/trash the dress” pictures about 4 months after the wedding (which also allowed for fall pics since we had a summer wedding). It was a great chance to relive the magic of “the dress” one last time and to get some pictures I love! Another thing Darling Husband and I did was read our vows to one another (we had written our one) after a sunrise hike/brunch on our honeymoon. I appreciated them even more because I was totally able to focus on the words in a relaxed and private space…

I meant to say we had written our *own* vows. Apparently I can’t type today.
Whatever you choose to do to keep celebrating, I hope it makes you smile!
