Honestly I don’t like either of them. Maybe it’s the color that’s throwing me off…

I’m not a fan of either of them. They look like they have aged you  10 years.

The pixie is a flattering, younger cut. It looks really good on round and heart shaped faces.

I love the pixie cut.  Its very fun and will grow out into the bob.   I had a pixie when I got engaged.  I’m growing it out for the wedding but miss how easy & chic it was.

ETA: I used Katie Holmes’ pixie cut as my inspiration photos.  Its a lot more modern than others I’ve seen.

I think the pixie looks more flattering. If you love it, go for it. I can’t wait to chop my hair back after Christmas!

@vmec:  I’d go with the bob unless you’ve had short hair before and know you’ll love it. Baby steps.

Every time I’ve chopped my hair off I’ve regretted it. When I have the urge to cut it, I never take off more than 4 inches or so each time. You can always cut more off if you want, but growing hair seems to take forever when you actually want it to grow.

@vmec:  i think that those pics are a bit deceiving because they look fake.  you are a lovely girl and can probably pull off any hairstyle.  definitely stick to the dark hair.  it suits you.

both hairstyles look a bit too mature for you.  i would go with something with more texture & dimension.

start with a bob first.  get used to short hair.  if you find that you like it short, then the next cut, go shorter.  you might have too much of a shock if you go to a pixie right away.

how about this cut?  i like the uneveness of the bottom.  it makes it more current and less “old lady bob”.  you can also tuck your hair behind your ears for a different look.

@vmec:  Do you put your hair into a ponytail a lot? I do. I actually find longer hair to be lower maintenance… short hair drives me up the wall because it’s always in my face.

I would do the first. It looks very pretty and it looks like it is still long enough to pull back if you need to. 🙂
