I started this thread back in March…worried SO much about my weight for health reasons but most urgently because of my wedding looming:
this is me before. Over 200 lbs 🙁
I had gained a bunch and wanted to lose a bunch. Cliff Notes, I worked hard and lost 45 lbs before the wedding. Made a bunch of friends along the way, too!
Any Bees that are worried, YOU CAN DO THIS. I am 44, no spring chicken! I just kept at it, I hit the wall and plateaued, I had an injury, a medical hiatus for a couple weeks and I still did it. (Best part was the few weeks running up to the wedding I was SO BUSY that I didn’t have to diet, weight just stayed off and I even lost a few more).
Here are some quick (no pro) pics from my wedding this past Saturday, I felt beautiful for probably the first time in my life. It was an absolutely perfect day!
a few of me, a couple long shots, and the last one is my favorite of all of them.
Maid/Matron of Honor and I
my daughter (24) and I
So anyone fretting about it, I did pretty well in just a few months and I feel fantastic! you can do it!

Wow! Not only do you look amazing with your weight loss but I seriously would NEVER have thought you were old enough to have a 24 year old daughter!!! Like ever! I had to re-read that because I thought I must have misunderstood.

I put the link above in the original post but I was annoyed at myself for saying oh I’ll start tomorrow and gaining more and more, so I said “ok I will do this for 100 days, eat better every day, try to be healthier and get some form of exercise for that period of time”. I joined My Fitness Pal and tracked my food and workouts, and I just lost and lost pounds, got fitter, stronger, more toned (I still have prob 15-20 lbs I’d like to shed) and most importantly, healthier. I learned a lot about eating protein and how to pay attention to my body and eat when I’m actually hungry not just bored. MFP was a great help and I’ll def use it again, as soon as things get back into a routine.
