I haven’t seen any other brides with my Anjolique dress! I am going to be adding organza straps/ capsleeves so it will be even more unique! I still have to get the crooked belt fixed which got moved in alterations and the bustle is crooked! Let me know if you have seen other brides in this b/c I would like to know how they put the whole look together!

My mom majored in fashion design in college and is an extremely talented and gifted seamstress. She has very generously offered to sew my wedding gown for me. I cannot begin so say how excited I am to see the finished dress. I can truly say that there will never be another dress exactly like mine. She using the pattern below as a basis, and making a few alterations here and there.

My mom is making it from peau de soie satin with a silk organza overlay. The bodice will also have a lace overlay.

@09.07.11 – WOW!!! I think I have dress envy. 🙂

I have not seen anyone post mine either. It has some unique features (pleating) but since the vendor went belly up a week after I ordered it and I had to buy a sample, safe to say that I’m probably close to being “unique”. I LOVE my dress though!!!

I’ve seen my dress (Maggie Sottero- Melissa Brooch) around a couple of times on the boards, but never in my color combination.  Most do all ivory or all white; but I did ivory on top, light gold on bottom.  For that, I think I’m unique?

Okay, ladies.

I wrote out the whole story behind my dress.  I took me half an hour to write it (I’m new and was starting my first thread, so took my time), proof it, and put in all the pictures.  I’m a blogger, so I was probably a little more wordy than I needed to be.

The post went up and someone commented on it.  Then, it was *poof* gone.  I’m so bummed.  Maybe I inadvertently violated some sort of policy by linking to the designer’s website?

Anyway, here’s my one-of-a-kind Jorge Manuel dress.  I’m too tired to write the entire story out again.  Basically, I entered an essay contest.  252 people entered and I won.  🙂
