@HappilyEverAfter54: What’s so funny is that aside from blogging (and I just write a design blog…about decorating, so it’s not exactly serious writing), I haven’t written an essay is well over a decade.

I did work my tail off on editing the thing and fretted over getting it just right for days.

Oh, the coolest part is that they are flying me to Charlston for a “gown turn over” party and they’re going to invite a bunch of wedding planners and wedding bloggers to cover it.  I get to try on the dress for the first time at the party…which means I’m going to try to whittle myself down to the size of the itty bitty dress form by the end of the next month.

I don’t know how the girls on Say Yes to the Dress try dresses on in front of cameras.  The idea is freaking me out!

Ladies you have some beautiful dresses!

Here is the dress I made mine this weekend!  Ian Stuart Bow Belles. I haven’t seen any dress twins yet, nor have I been able to find many pictures of the dress. The fabric is taffeta suede and is amazingly soft.

I bought the dress during a trunk show…Ian Stuart was so sweet and helpful, he even asked what I wanted to change about the dress…I said NOTHING, I love everything just the way it is.  Although, I did opt for the dress in Ivory rather than the Papyrus sample at the store, it was gorgeous, but I went for tradition.

The pic I have of the bow detail…Love it!

@ms.walter:  thanks so much! After buying (and selling) a dress, choosing a Paloma Blanca that didn’t work out, and trying on countless dresses…I finally found this beauty!

@DeaconBride: Thanks! I have dress envy all the time! I seriously think I have to stop looking at wedding dresses. Good thing my wedding is in 3 months time so I can’t dress shop anymore!

@MrsMoksha:

Its to die for! And its also a cool dress, since the fabric is kind of rough.  Keep posting pics if you have new ones! I thought te same thing;  there are a lot of sparkles in the lace of my dress, and one moment I wondered if it migth be to much but than I thought men; this is my day to sparkle everybodies ass of! haha.
