You all look amazing! What a great thread. I’m a little over 5’11 and really interested in how I’ll carry.

I am about 5 ft tall and was a about a size 14 pre-pregnancy. I have a super short torso and felt like I was showing right away. Below is a picture from 11 weeks and then one from yesterday at 26 weeks 3 days.

@bananasareyellow:   I always look for your pic updates on the bump thread because we’re the same height and build.  I have a feeling I’ll be carrying and growing at the same rate as you so thanks for all your updates!  They’re adorable!

5’2″ and the clinic weighed me in at 170 pre-pregnancy. I have gained 12 pounds to date and 24 weeks along when this was taken. I have a very short torso, and I am carrying a boy.

Yes, I think height is a big factor as well as if you have a short or long torso.  If you think about the difference between being 6′ and 5’…there is just more room when you’re that much taller, but long/short/average torso length also plays a role.

Also, I think it depends on how much you gain during pregnancy.  Obviously, if you have gained 30 lbs by 25 weeks…you will look bigger than someone who has only gained 13 lbs.

I’m 6′ and I was about 162 lbs pre-pregnancy.  I also have a longer torso (like I can’t buy women’s hiking packs because they’re just too short for me and don’t reach my hips).

I still don’t feel very big at all and feel like I have a lot of room left.  I’m having a girl, but I don’t think baby gender matters.

Here is 21 weeks

I’m just under 5’9″ and was 145lbs pre-pregnancy. I felt like I started showing really early despite the fact that I’m tall. Here I am at 18 and 36 weeks (btw, I thought my bump was big at 18 weeks but look at it now…ha!).

@lealorali:  not true necessarily. I’m tall (almost 5’10”) and thin. I had a huge belly. It looked like a beach ball.

I’m 118 pre pregnancy (about a size 2) and didnt gain a ton last time and was still huge In my belly. I was very small everywhere else. This time at 18 weeks Im just as big if not bigger and have gained about 10lbs. I’ll take a photo in a second.

5’7″ with a pre-pregnancy weight of 143

End of pregnancy I was around 183. I gained about 40 lbs.  I also had high blood pressure and swelled up quite a bit.
