@mylittleviolett:  Let’s see if this works!  I know this pic shows off the deeper blue in it.

@mylittleviolett:  I don’t know if the comments are really negative, everyone thinks it’s really pretty, they’re just confused more than anything else, which is ok ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve showed off my amethyst a few times… but maybe I’ll share a sneak peek of my wedding band, too! Wink

Loving this post! I LOVE my e ring and was extremely annoyed with comments I got after I got engaged.  People would raise their eyebrows and say things like, “oh… is that what you wanted?” or “That’s not traditional… neat.”  And I wanted to punch them. I tried to get a picture of the filigree underneath, but my camera phone sucks.  My ring is an estate piece, which I love because they just don’t make anything with the kind of quality they used to!

I am kind of OBSESSED with my ring. I actually joined this site just so I could post pics of my e-ring…so thank you OP!

My ring is 18 k white gold with tanzanite, white diamonds around the solitare, and “chocolate” diamonds around the band. It’s Levian. This particular piece was made in very limited quantities and was only available in one location in my area. (It is not sold on the web.) I hate to say it, but it was a pricey ring. But, it’s my e-ring, so I figure that’s a-ok. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tanzanite is GORGEOUS.  It looks different depending on the light. In flourescents it looks deep brilliant blue. Incandescent light makes it look light violet. In natural, somewhat dim lighting you can see pink “flashes.” (I am kinda proud that I managed to capture a flash with my iPhone!) The contrast of the colored diamonds with the various shades of purple is fabulous. The setting (and to a certain extent, the white diamonds) help protect the soft center stone. We may eventually end up replacing the center stone with a violet sapphire, but for now the tanzanite is fab.

This is such a wonderful thread. All of these rings seem so beautiful and interesting compared to the plain, cookie cutter diamond rings I’ve looked at. Who wants a ring that looks like every other ring? I think these say a lot more about the individual wearing them than white stones on white bands.

I’m obsessed with looking at every gemstone thread on the boards, and sharing mine. Mine is a yellow sapphire with diamond accents.
