BurlapnLace: Your dress is gorgeous and I love the bridesmaid’s dress too!  I agree with giving David’s Bridal a chance.  I was VERY skeptical about going there because of all the horrible customer service reviews and a bad experience as a bridesmaid at a different location.  I made an appointment there anyway thinking I would just go to see what kind of silhouette I liked before heading to another store.  I’m happy to say that I really enjoyed my experience and my consultant was fantastic.  She was friendly, cheerful, very patient, and I ended up purchasing my dress there for a steal at $500!  Like any other retail store, the person giving you service is what really makes the experience.

Here’s my dress:

I love the modern lace on it and sure, it isn’t made of luxurious fabrics, but it’s comfortable and I’m only going to be wearing it for ~10 hours (and then never wearing it again), so for the price, I think the quality is really nice!

I went with my Maid/Matron of Honor and bridesmaid to David’s Bridal again for their dresses, and like me, they just wanted to try on different styles, but ended up buying them on our 1st appointment.  They were really happy with their choices, service, and price points too.  I don’t have any photos of them of them in their dresses, but these are the styles they chose:

My best tip for David’s Bridal is to never go on the weekends.  I scheduled both appointments in the evening on a weekday (I believe they’re open until 9pm), and there was barely anyone else in the store.  We got to go over our allotted time and the consultants were always around to help.

BurlapnLace:  Love yours!  Mine is in my hot little hands, but not being fitted for another month. Can’t wait!  (It was also amazing to not break the bank!).  I had the greatest expereince at DB and love to hear when other brides do to!

My advice is to not go during the weekends, have a good idea of what you want to try on, and know your budget and stick to it.

BurlapnLace:  Your dress is GORGEOUS. I’ve never seen anything quite like it! Beautiful dress, and it definitely complements your figure nicely! Thank you for starting this thread. I’m tired of seeing people make rude and snarky comments about David’s Bridal. My experiences there for bridal gown shopping, bridesmaid gown shopping, and recently veil shopping were nothing but positive!

BurlapnLace:  I got my dress and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from here! I had a great experience, and seriously the best decision I made, because I was able to spend more on flowers. πŸ™‚
