BurlapnLace: OMG! Your wedding dress is beautiful, and you look amazing in it! I’ve also heard some disparaging comments on the WB about DB service and the quality of thier wedding gowns, but since none of these bees were paying for anything I need/want, I decided to go to DB and find out for myself. It was the first and only shop I went to for my wedding dress. Sometimes, we allow the opinion of others to jaundice us and we can’t see pass that point, but I didn’t allow others opinion to impair my judgment ’cause all the same isn’t all alike all the time! I had an awesome experience at DB and I fell in love with #8! She’s from the DB Collection, but I named her Bella.

BurlapnLace: I love all the detail on yours. I thought the Oleg Cassini line was really nice and reasonably priced!

I had a good experience at David’s. I did not want to spend a ton of money on a dress because, a) you only wear it once and b) your guests won’t know or care that you dropped $8K on a wedding dress and c) my Fiance and I have 3 kids between us…our priorities are elsewhere. I think David’s dresses are perfectly lovely!

I went with one of the Oleg Cassini dresses for my 40’s inspired wedding. I hate DB but there’s a location called David’s Bridal Collections in Atlanta, GA that is a smaller store with a more boutiquey feel that deals only with the designer dresses at DB, and they were amazing. Grainy cell phone picture our coordinator snapped while the photographer was doing lighting test shots. Pardon the wrinkles in the dress. I lost about 10lbs in the two weeks leading up to the wedding due to stress so the fit wasn’t as awesome as it had been a month before the wedding.

Looking back, I see that yest it is indeed your dress! Thanks for the compliment, I was sure I wanted a short dress and it took me trying on a full a-line before my mom would concede that I indeed would be THE elephant in the room before she got over the shock of me not wanting a princess dress with a train.

BurlapnLace: We have the same belt! ๐Ÿ™‚

My dress is a David’s Bridal dress, but I didn’t get it from DB! I got it for $25 (including the belt!!) from a store that DB donated it to. It was a sample gown that was discontinued, so I got it for a great price ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s hard to tell in this picture, but it is a blush color!

vip0802: I don’t know or sure. But I think it is just a davids Bridal one not any of the other designers they have.

I love my DB dress too. The woman that helped me was extremely helpful and kind. I sometimes wish I shopped around a little more, but I think I made the perfect choice.

This is in my closet right now. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hardly any alterations necessary! I am going to make it sweetheart, and the bust needs to be altered slightly.
I LOVE IT so much. It’s Galina and the lace is so not “doily”.
No bling, no ruffles, but POCKETS.

I figure it’s JUST enough ‘princess’ to satisfy me.

I think that they really have come a long way! They have some gorgeous dresses now & I want to get one for my reception. . .except that I love my dress too much and it would be a waste of money I think! I’m seriously very tempted to go try a couple on though..ya know, just to see what they look like on ๐Ÿ™‚

I saw someone with a budget of $8K for their gown. I’ll take my $800 gown and take my kids to Disney World, twice, with the rest of the $8K :-). There are way too many other things to spend money on!!!!
