Can I sneak in with 0.51 carats? It looks daintier in reality than the usual photo (as can be seen in the first image which is a reflection enlarged).

Sure, no problem! ๐Ÿ™‚ here it is from a few angles (taken in the hospital at work, so not the greatest lighting!)

I love dainty rings! Personally I would say “dainty” means a combination of having a stone under 1 carat, a thin band and either a simple/minimalistic design or a more “romantic” design (like floral etchings in the band). I see a lot of antique rings as being dainty and full of character. Here’s mine- I just got engaged yesterday! It’s .40 carats and was made in 1910! I definitely consider it dainty, although it would be even more so with a thinner band IMO. ๐Ÿ™‚

campingbee :  I love your set! Love the tapered band on the engagement ring (how it narrows leading up to the diamond) and the curved wedding band with stones! So beautiful!

To me dainty means a combination  of delicate, small and of course pretty ๐Ÿ˜Š

My ring is 0.25 ct. And I also consider my stackers dainty. My wedding band not so much.

campingbee :  Where did you get your wedding band, or was it custom made? It’s gorgeous! I love it!

    nightskyforest :

thanks so much! It is custom made – I went with the same jeweller who made my e-ring. It’s modelled after something similar I saw at Zales a couple years ago, but we made it 14k rose gold instead of 10k white, changed the diamonds a bit and had it curved to fit my other ring. In the end it wasn’t that expensive (I’m in Canada) and I love it so much haha. Thanks for the kind words!
