We got so many wonderful comments about our invitations. One friend told us it was the most beautiful invitation he has ever seen in the history of his life.

This is what it looked like… The picture shows it in a transparent sleeve with roses printed on it.

This is what it looked like without the sleeve. This is from the website, and not our information.

I bought the BRIDES kit from Michaels – we changed the black ribbon for red.

I DIY’d mine – designed by my sister, using paper from cardsandpockets.com (colors are a little off in the pics – folder is bright orange, belly band is apricot and the greens and blues are much brighter than they appear):

@MrsBoomBoom: Oh, gosh – I can’t say it was super-cheap (cardsandpockets.com has decent prices on high-quality papers, but definitely more expensive than DIY kits from the craft stores). And I used a TON of ink cartridges – not cheap, either. In the end they probably cost me $3.50-$4 a piece, maybe even more, plus postage.  But I didn’t need too many (about 60-65), and it was worth it to me to get exactly what I wanted in the colors I wanted.

@iheartnerds: Also love the owls!

@Immacoconut: I got most of the stamps at http://www.amazon.com/Crafty-Secrets-Large-Greetings-Wonderland/dp/B003I2JTFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313762518&sr=8-1

The lil’ guys on the front I purchased through a separate co. in California.

All the paper and ink and bellyband stuff we got here:

http://www.archiversonline.com/

Overall we made over 50 invites and spent under 1/3 of the cost they are sold for on Etsy! No one would guess our invites cost us slightly over $100.

 πŸ™‚ Thanks! I know I would LOVE to get all your invites if I were a guest. Pretty!
