I’m about 5’5″ as well.

My dress is a Casablanca. Nineteen Seventy Eight (sorry I’m being a brat and dont want my face linked with that dress number)

A note about Casablanca- they will totally customize dresses for you. I changed the neckline and ordered a custom length. They will even change skirts from A-line to trumpet, etc. It’s pretty cool!

Best of luck to your future sister in law while dress shopping!

I’m 5’5″, as well! My dress is Alfred Angelo 2083. The sample is in ivory, and I ordered white. I’m also changing the neckline to a sweetheart.

Show me your fit and flare/mermaid/trumpet dresses (inc Bridesmaid or Best Man and evening dresses)

From just a few minutes before… something else to check out for more images.

These dresses look good on girls with squarer shapes (vs. hour glass) and the height shouldn’t be a problem. Just some words of caution: most women report completely changing their minds about what they wanted once they started trying dresses on so when it’s time to shop, have Future Sister-In-Law try one things she doesn’t think she wants.

Oops forgot to add mine is Mori Lee

@Wstitude:  OMG that Justin Alexander dress is to die for….it’s AMAZING! It gave me a twinge of regret just now…. I love the first dress too but I’m instantly drawn to bling and drama and that dress has both…LOL

@weddingbound:  Yeah I love the Justin Alexander too and it definitely gave ME dress regret 🙁 But in the end I decided to stick with my Nova for the afternoon wedding.  Will jazz it up with some bling-ish sash.  I love your dress too!  Very glam and you look awesome in it.

@Westitude:  Well you will no doubt ROCK your dress….I just notice you said the sample is too big so when it fit and you add your bling it’s gonna be stunning! Can’t wait to see pics! Have you picked your sash yet?

@weddingbound:  Probably will go with an Allure belt S50.  It looked good with an Allure dress I also tried on (and loved) that have similar shape and fabric.  I know I have a problem with loving too many dresses!!!!  But I can’t wait for my dress to come in so I can see how it will look.  Arrrrrgh why does it take soooo long????
