- Wedding: October 2014
Background: I’m 33 years old and I’ve always kept my skin care fairly simple. I have oily and acne-prone skin, and I’ve been using Philosphy’s Purity face wash with a Clarisonic, Philosophy’s Hope In A Bottle as a moisturizer, and Skin79 BB cream as my foundation makeup. Although I do look young for my age, I’ve begun to notice some fine lines under my eyes, the hereditary dark circles under them look darker, and the pores around my nose and the cheek area around the nose look larger. Of course every woman wants to look beautiful on their wedding day, and my current skin care routine just wasn’t cutting it, so I dove into research mode to see what could be done.
I really should have started a better skin regimen earlier, but better late than never right? I’ve got 6 months to go until the big day and this is my little haul I got yesterday:
- Dickinson’s Wtich Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner
- Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar,
- RoC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream
- Skin79 Super Plus BB Cream with SPF 50
- a small sample of Tarte Maracuja Oil from Sephora
- Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay
I tried the clay mask last night using the apple cider vinegar to mix it up, and it works really well! I don’t know if it’s a combination of all these things or just the mask itself, but I really feel like my skin is glowing today and my 2 co-workers mentioned that I looked very refreshed this morning. I’m excited to see how this will progress over the next few months.
I’d love to what everyone is using!
