Angil2000:  personally, I’d add some colorful paint/blankies/wall prints to make it pop a bit more.  I love color though.  🙂

I wanted a grey nursery but my husband insisted on blue, I think grey is a neutral that would go with any furniture and you can always use art to brighten up the room. We’re still hanging up art but two in progress pics

We’re team green, so the nursery looks a little different than it will when baby gets here in either July or August. When s/he gets here we’ll be adding pops of hot pink or navy blue (lamp shade, waste basket, curtains, crib skirt, wall decor, etc). The decoration behind the day bed was made by my mom for my shower, and when s/he gets here, we’ll either swap out the pink for more navy or vice versa. We’re waiting on a dark gray glider to go in the corner under the poms (where the cat bed and diaper bag are now). It’s hard to get a good photo straight on of the crib because of the light from the window. I really love the simplicity of the Ikea furniture and specifically the Hemnes line, so that’s primarily what we went with.

Specifics:

Crib – Ikea Gulliver with Sealy Mattress

Dresser – Ikea Hemnes

Daybed – Ikea Hemnes (pulls out to twice that size)

Bookshelves – Ikea Billy

Wall Shelves – Ikea

Rug – Target Xhiliration

Poms – Etsy

Toy bins – Kmart

I love our nursery! We are in a rental so couldn’t paint the walls, plus they would have been a bitch with the vaulted ceilings! Here it is pre-baby so we still had the bassinet and stuff in there!

Our Dear Daughter is 4 months old. We didn’t know we were having a girl when we decorated the nursery so we went gender neutral

mrscali13:  Totally random, but what do you think about the daybed? We might be getting one but I am on the fence. Is it still comfortable pulled out to the double size?

Your crib set works beautifully with grey walls. Brown andd grey is a sophisticated color palette. It’s also very calming.

You can add pops of color with the accessories.

Angil2000:  FutureMrs.Cammack:  which cribs are those? I’m trying to match a crib with a few existing pieces so I’m specifically looking for a middle brown, oak color.

Here’s my son’s room!  I decorated so it could transition from nursery to little boy room.

SoontobeF:  We actually got two thicker mattresses for it instead of the small ones they have on display and it works really well. It’s not broken in yet (just got it) but my parents slept on it last week and didn’t have any problems.
