mkendrick:  And yes- I do not even know how I mustered up the partience. I think my other dress going well has been balancing this out.

FYI I’m going to Linda’s shop, sorry don’t know code name, to be measured and discuss details on Monday.  I think my last post also got missed, I was hoping to get the info on all of the different shops before I commit.  I’ll post an update once I meet with them, I’ve heard that some don’t believe they’re actually US located so I’ll have a good chance to actually talk directly and see their space in person.  Any other reviews on them I should keep in mind, or good questions to ask?

Zelda1:  Perhaps I’m imagining it but I’m not sure if both parts of the corset are lining up correctly at the back or maybe there’s a problem with the zip. Something’s off in that region anyway, unless I’m hallucinating.  If you can zoom in that photo maybe you should have a closer look, just in case.

liksye.liksye:  it is definitely off center.

I’m just going to fix it here. They shipped the dress already anyway. Sigh.

Zelda1:  Is the dress supposed to be finished or are they still going to work on it? Because it seems like the boning is not really the same length, it’s longer on the left. And what’s that triangle on the left from the zip, some kind of lining? You know, things like tulle shape on the skirt you can easily fix yourself but when the bodice is not constructed well then it’s a much bigger problem. Besides, the skirt will move so nobody is going to see if it’s uneven but your back is going to be much more visible, so it should really be spotless. Especially that you’ve been through so much with this dress already, you deserve for it to be perfect.

Zelda1:  You’re right, you should try it on first and see how it looks on you. Hopefully there won’t be much to correct. In the meantime, don’t worry and try to stay positive. I’m sorry you’re going through this, I’ve seen some of your previous posts and that was not an easy ride. *hugs*

Zelda1:  I think it looks good. It looks like they fixed the train and the rest already looked good. There may be a couple of spots on the tulle that you or your alterations person will want to trim a little but if the dress is moving and not static then it will look perfect.

Zelda1:  Please do not worry too much now since it has been shipped. It is a beautiful gown. Wait on it, try it on and have anything you need fix done by a good seamsttress. Good luck honey!
