We reached 559 posts in 2 weeks only on part 10………………This is part 11..WELCOME!!!
About me (CONTRI):
I had a rough journey finding the style, fabric and design of my wedding dress. Every dress I found at bridal stores seemed to be just the same thing or just too simple. I live in NJ and visited many stores in NJ and NY; honestly every dress was so similar and simple at insane prices, only with the exception of that dream dress that cost $15,000 (Oh I cant pay that much for a one time use). I started looking into “other options”.
I stumble accross this website and found threads about designer replicas. I read and read for months (following for a long time). BUT One day, I woke up to continue my reading and…the threads dissapeared ..Oh no!!! All bees started posting and everyone was confused about what was going on. What happened? Weeding Bee had removed all 21 (more or less) posts with amazing pictures of all brides and their journeys. At that moment (about 11 months ago) I started these new threads, we have been successful helping each other out.
I ended ordering 3 gowns: THE SHOP, the lace shop and shop 2.0 (My life saver). The last one was my life saver because I hated the dress from the SHOP (also had a bad experience with them), the dress from THE SHOP was a gorgeous gown with amazing craftmanship, but it was not for me.
Shop 2.0 made my dress within a month and saved my life for that special day. How things turn out: I had the best day of my life and ended using a dress that took me less than one month to order and receive ,also paid 1/3 of the price from THE SHOP; I did not use the dress that cost me the most and took the longest to get with the idea of being my dream dress ( took me about 10 months includes researching, ordering, receiving).
The best day of my life has past, but I am here to keep helping and encouraging other bees to help each other :)…Lets keep it alive this thread by following the rules and thanks so much!!!
Let’s please continue posting the picture of your replica dress and midproduction photos. Please post and help other bees reviewing replica wedding gowns.
Rules to keep this thread alive:
Do NOT post links for specific designer names/styles
Do NOT mention replica shop name, original dress names, style, designer etc.
Please do not mention the desginer name, orignal dress name or particular replica shop, PM other bees for questions on the name of the shop that made the replica (otherwise we will be shut down).
The comments made on this board are made to learn more about each experience and resolve questions and concerns for future bees, comments should not offend anyone. Every bee is different with her preference, style and taste. We want to help each other and that is what we are here for 🙂
Mr. Mouse mentioned previously after the boards where shut down:
“Bees are still free to share photos of themselves in their replica dresses, and even to recommend to other bees that they seek information about replicas (without mentioning a specific company or including a link to any replica websites). We’re not encouraging or discouraging anyone from choosing replica dresses, we are just not hosting the discussion on the site.” “Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and clarify a couple of things that some people seem to be confused about. 1.) To keep this thread and others like it from being closed, we ask that you do not mention any specific designer or dress names, whether you are referring to the inspiration dress/dressmaker or the company who is creating the dress. 2.) Please do not include any tags on the post with the names of designers or dresses. Thanks and carry on!”
