I’m so unbelievably frustrated with the shop. I’m starting to feel like I’m getting scammed. I paid for expedited shipping and rush fees. I should have received my dress June 25th.  Liza my consultant told me the dress was shipped DHL last Monday and gave me a tracking number. I called DHL and they said they never received a package.  It should have arrived June 25th. I am stressed beyond belief.  I wish I did not choose them.

Tagging in to follow.

My story:

Very similar to CONTRI, only THE SHOP AND Shop 2.0 are turning out to be my lifesavers.

I started my journey with 2 etsy sellers, one for my ceremony dress and the other for my reception dress. The former , I fired after a month because I realized she hadn’t even started on my dress; I hired THE SHOP instead for my ceremony dress.

The other one started off promising, but started ignoring deadlines, sending random pictures I couldn’t make much of, and ignoring recommendations. After 4 months (2 month late, mind you), 5-6 revisions, a team that treated me like they did me a favor each time they fixed my dress- and even declared at some point they were not going yo work on it anymore because they had spent too much time on it, even though it still looked bad-, I filed a Paypal claim, thankfully won it  and walked away from the dress altogether after receiving my refund. At that time, CONTRI and Larik had discovered Shop 2.0, and I had actually ordered my bachelorette party dress from them already. After receiving my refund, I took the leap with Shop 2.0 again for my reception dress, and that is where I am at right now.

Final pictures of my ceremony dress from THE SHOP: (I haven’t received it yet, but it is done)

Zelda1:  Your dresses are so beautiful….. The ceremony dress….. wooooow. I really hope you post pics of you in it! It is great to hear that you at least got a refund for the other dress. Although, that would have been such a painful and stressful process in itself, not to mention what you put up with with the actual dress!

Bees, I’m still waiting for my dress from 2.0. I did tell Cherry to take her time as my wedding is not until mid next year, but I am getting very impatient to see some progress. I did get some rough photos of lace examples, so I know it is getting there and I am hoping it will be decent 🙂

I did have one issue with 2.0 however, and it was in the train length. When I asked for a quote for my dress, Cherry quoted it and at the bottom stated that it was for a 50cm train. I know very little about train lengths (did not even know where they measure the 50cm from), so it was my oversight that I did not look over the entire email thoroughly before I paid. My inspiration picutures featured a much longer train.

I noticed in one of the pics I received that some of the lace features on my train were missing. When I questioned it, I realised that since the train was made too short, it cut off some of my design. What’s more, I was told that it was too late to fix it. I did get very upset and after lots of back and forth with Cherry, agreed to pay $100 more to fix it. Needless to say, I have done lots of research on train lenghts. Now I am expecting to get a 1.2 metre train! 🙂

As I worded it to Cherry, I did not understand why I was quoted a 50cm train to begin with when the pictures clearly showed a much longer train. That was why I missed this information, as I thought the quote was for the dress AS IS in the photos!

I did not mind paying the extra money as it is still within my budget and if we understood each other from the get go, I would have paid a little more anyway.

Just a little lesson and advice to other fellow bees to read everything very very carefully! 🙂

minkybee2016:  thank you so much!

I don’t get stressed easily, and I had started early, but the process with the first two vendors was hell. I found some solace in knowing that THE SHOP’s dress at least was moving smoothly.

PayPal was AWESOME. they literally filed my claim immediately, and did their due diligence and investigated everything. Ten days later I had my money back on my card. I was just annoyed I had lost so much time arguing with a noncooperative shop.

Zelda1:  may I ask, the fact that your dress was costume made, didn’t that affect your PayPal clan in anyway?

Because I remember calling paypal requesting a refund on a dress that was costume made bit the measurements were completely wrong. I even took photos of the dress with the measuring tape to prove it. The moment I mentioned it is custom made, they said sorry.. its in our terms and conditions that we do not refund for a custom made item simply because the seller can’t go to sell it.. I was thinking what on earth???? But what can a seller do with it then??

I even went on to read the policy myself and yes it the protection does exclude custom made items.. :S

jeje89:  that’s interesting.

I actually do not know whether I mentioned the custom made aspect… But I didn’t hide it purposefully either. I just filed an “item non received ” claim, as they were over 2 months late in shopping my dress.
