hey bees! I havent been here for a while. I figured I would share some pictures of my dress to help future brides.

I requested to make a dress with inspirations from these two dresses:

These are two of the final proof

And these are the pictures form my wedding:

I ABSOLUTELY love the outcome of the dress. The dress maker was amazing to work with. Very fast turn around time. I ordered last July and had the dress in my hands three months later.

The dress fits perfectly. I didnt do any alterations and I measured myself at home. I did add a bustle after i received though.

The beading work is spectacular! I did lots of research when I was going through the process. I knew I wanted beadings and this dress maker was the only one who could confindently tell me that they will do it.

I received countless compliments and all of the pictures turned out to be fantastic. I understand how stressful this process can be. It was a huge risk I took by ordering online, but I am so glad that I did it. Hopefully this can help you future brides. Know what you want and do your research!

Hi bees,

I’ve been following these threads for a while now and after much deliberation I’m gona go down the replica route with The Shop, my consultant Liza has been great so far and I hope it remains that way. I’ve had my final quote which I’m happy with but I’m confused about how to pay. I live in Northern Ireland so we dont have a Bank of America here and I’m worried about getting charged crazy fees for trying to do online transfers. Has anyone else from the UK ordered from The Shop and if so how did they pay? Any advice is much appreciated…

Hi guys!

I have been following these threads for a while, but not posting much yet. Your dresses look amazing, and I have decided to go the replica route, most likely with Cherry. But I am wondering about a couple of things now. The dress I want is in the picture below, I have seen this in blush on a tv-show, and that’s where I first fell in love with it. I was absolutely sold and in my mind I was like “I am walking down the isle in blush!”. So now I am wondering what you guys think about a blush gown? I have seen some brides on SYTTD who really wanted a blush gown, and then when they put it on it doesn’t feel as bridal as they want, and I don’t want that so I am between blush and ivory now, and I can’t decide! I have also talked to Cherry and got a quote for the dress, think she said 296$ if the train is 50 cm or under, so my next question is where do they measure the train length? Is it the part that lies on the floor, and is this train longer than 50 cm? It kinda looks longer to me, but I don’t know:P

Thank you in advance!

jennifercusack: hey, I’m in cork Ireland and I asked the same question recently, ill be paying by credit card, but I will still be able to get a 5% discount as confirmed by Liza. If you cant pay by credit card I’m not sure what other options there are as they no longer accept payment via western union.

MrsG2BIre: Thanks very much for the info, I’ll ask Liza about the 5% discount…I wasn’t sure about paying in full up front but then I’m probably just sceptical lol

odaa:  can you try on dresses IRL to make sure you like the color? I plan to do that to make sure the color and shape of dress I want is flattering for my body type.

sigggy86:  I haven’t yet, but will go as soon as I can get my sister and mom to come with me:) My problem is that I can’t buy this brand in my country, and the online stores I have found it in are not allowed to sell it outside the US, so I will probably have to go the replica route unless I find something else I love. Also the prices here are basically almost never under 1000$ for a wedding dress, even the used ones usually start at around 650-700 and for that price I’d rather buy a new one. And besides they are mostly satin, strapless gowns with way to much going on for my taste:P I really love the style of this one but can’t find anything similar here, it’s either beading and a lot of drama in the skirt, or nothing going on at all, never a simple skirt with an intricate top or reversed:( But I’m definitely going to try on different shapes and colors before making the final decision, maybe I’ll end up finding out that a white white mermaid is the best look for me after all:P

shus:  OMG, the quality of the fabric and beading, the colors… The SHOP is the best at making a China dress look like a designer dress!
