Marylynne1985:  Thanks!  I’m actually ok with the beadwork.  I don’t like a lot of sparkle so it suits me just fine how they did it.  And like MrsG2Blre said it looks different in pics than in person.  There is more to the beadwork you just can’t tell in the photo.

MrsG2BIre:  Thank you!!  I LOVE it!  I was having second thoughts but I feel SOOO much better now.  You can’t tell in the pics but it is actually a little too big.  Either my measurements were off or I lost weight.  (I don’t keep track of my weight so I have no idea).  It is a corset back and I put it on myself so it isn’t tied tight, just enough to get it on.  It is too big in the hips by an inch maybe but that should be an easy fix.  I think it may be too big up top but I can’t tell until I take it to my MOH’s this weekend and have her tie it up properly to see how it fits.

I also wanted to review the dress and THE SHOP.  From the moment I pulled the dress out I was blown away.

Going through this process I felt like everyone who went with THE SHOP always said the quality rivaled what you would find with the dresses in a bridal salon.  I was still worried about what people meant and was very skeptical that the small details wouldn’t be up to par.  Everyone is so right though.  There is not one part of the dress that looks anything less than like a professional/mass produced dress (it might even be better!) but I know NO ONE else has this dress.

I paid for my order on 8/31 and received it yesterday 12/15.  It took just under 4 months from start to finish.  There was some communication problems that were frustrating at times but I had a consultant that unexpectedly left.  Once I had a new consultant things went much better.

I didn’t like that if you make any corrections or changes to the dress from mid production photos, they will fix it but then send new photos and charge $30 each time.  Even if you are correcting something they missed or did wrong.  They sent me final photos of the dress but there was no beading done.  When I pointed this out they were going to add the beading and send me new photos which would have been another $30 charge.  I told them to just do the beading and send the dress, going off blind faith in them and it turned out fine.

I was having second thoughts about my dress for quite a while.  Now that I have it and tried it on I absolutely LOVE it!  I had an appointment with a seamstress to fix the neckline since it didn’t look like my inspiration pic but I think I may cancel that appointment, I actual really like how it looks as is.

I love the dress, the price…everything.  THE SHOP does amazing work.  I just couldn’t be more excited! 🙂

Hi ladies, I’m about ready to do this. I’d like to replicate but modify the neckline and back of the dress. Since this is such heavy beadwork, would people recommend The Shop? Or Shop 2.0?

Do both of these shops seem to do better with exact replicas? Would I be risking by making changes, especially since they wouldn’t have a picture of beadwork to follow?

haileyelizabeth:  Sorry its taken me so long to get back to you. I went witht the standard 90 thinking that it would be a short little train…I was wrong. Its A LOT longer than I was thinking it would be, which was totally okay with me. I dont have any good pictures to show it…i’ll put my dress on tonight and take a pic to show you. Honestly, it’s as long (but much fuller) as the picture you posted of the girl in front of the window…it actually looks nearly identical to that. The only difference is that Cherry used several layers of tulle, so you can’t see the satin layer like you can in the pic.

acsweetpea:  im so pleased you are delighted.  i too have put an order in the the shop, so its very reassuring for me.  i paid the extra 30% for the fabric upgrade.  i’m hoping it will all be ok but reading your post is very encouraging.  does it fit how you hoped?  pics?

UK-bee:  pics are on page 18 🙂  It is slightly too big but that is an easy fix.  I paid for the fabric upgrade as well.  It is really beautiful!

Hey guys I need help with my dress beading it looks really unattractive to me but I can’t pin point why. Is it the eyelash lace or the beading itself? How should I get this revised?

Stephy33:  to me the beading is off. It isnt symmetrical, i dont know if it is supposed to be or not… But i also do not like eyelash lace.  But thats a personal preference.. The right side looks like it has more beading than the left and the beading on the front is off.

I agree with haileyelizabeth. The beading is definitely off. I actually like the eyellash lace but the beading is not symmetrical at all.

kxk5420:  🙂  Thanks!  I am actually going to see my Maid/Matron of Honor this weekend and having her help put it on properly so I’ll take more pics then (and in better lighting).  Can’t believe I have to wait 8 months now for my actual wedding to get to really wear it!

haileyelizabeth:

nygirla:

thanks for the reply girls.

I wouldn’t mind the eyelash lace but I don’t think it looks right with the beading.

I worry if I get the shop to cut it off if the neckline would appear to open?
