leatherdinosaur:  I checked back through my emails to confirm. I used swatch 20 in the silk/satin. It was a little darker with more gold than the actual “champagne” sample.

@leatherdinosaur: gorgeous dress and perfect fit. I think the back of your shop 2.0 dress looks even better than the original

your gown’s gorgeous.  I’m looking at the silk satin colour you chose and compared it to what I want on my dress to the left. I think for me it’s safer to go lighter. This is the photo for inspiration from another bee. Looks like she went with the lighter colour next to 64.

ristai01:  They will send you photos of the swatch side by side or even samples if that would help. I wanted mine to be a more gold color. 20 doesn’t look that much darker in photos but when you look at the samples side by side there is a difference.

Thank you guys for all of the sweet sweet words… I’m so glad I’m getting a happy ending, but ordering from China this was CRAZY stressful because you just don’t know! For me though, it is totally worth it. I’m SO happy I found this board to “stalk” and research so I could pick the best place.

blackandwhitebee:  Read your comment about the dressmaker in Oz, so i thought i’d post this which i found on an Instagram site from a Dressmaker/Designer and thought it makes sense to me and got a clearer view why their pricing might not cater to everyone’s budget. 🙂

goldenbaygrl:  Ohh Dear, we truly believe the hard work behind making a wedding dress. We cannot compare the labour price of doing a hand made dress in China to Australia. Workers in China get like 2 bucks per hour…Said that, whatever you relationship with the aussie supplier is, you have completely ruined her reputation recommending her on here and posting her pics. You said your friend is Karina, but then Karina is actually a Margarida’s niece who is only modelling the dress (according to Margarida’s facebook), plus there is an ad on Gumtree by Margarida and her location is Golden Bay, WA.. I guess you are from Golden Bay too?

By The Way, how many dresses have she made? Because the sequin/beading from the close off photo does not match the dress the niece/your friend is wearing, etc etc… Please kindly stop what you are doing. I am not anyone to judge and this might be a big confusion or honest mistake, but you are not helping anymore posting explanations. Sorry if I offend someone with my comments, I wanted believe because I am in Australia, but its too hard to trust giving the situation

The whole reason (well… for the majority of brides) who order a custom dress, is due to not having the huge budget they wish they had. So they go the replica route. And I’ve seen some DAMN good replicas from the shops we have in here. Even comparable to designer dresses. If someone wants to order a custom dress by a super expensive designer by all means more power to ya. That is not always doable for brides on a strict budget though, who still have one main thing in common: Looking like a million bucks on their special day.

martinaccs:  You’re not supposed to mention names and you named the Dressmaker’s! Seems that it’s ok for you to post names! You just ruined her reputation mentioning her name publicly yourself!

I suggest you please delete that post. As i told you when i pm you, the close up bodice and the other dress are 2 diffrnt dresses, anyone can see that! was posted for a certain Bee that enquired of the JA  replicas.

This thread is for posting mid production and final photos. Let’s keep it just that! If anyone read the really old replica threads from 2-3 years ago you will remember this type of back and forth is what closed the threads down. We can all see what’s going on here so please just keep it on the up and up. Keep the mid production and final photos of YOUR dresses coming, let your friends post their own photos on the Internet. 🙂
