The Shop matched my lace perfectly! So glad to not have to worry about that anymore.

ThatsMrsUToU :  WOW that is gorgeous. You know, this might just be me givign Anty the benefit of the doubt as a fellow a non-native English speaker, but it kind of sounds like maybe she was frusterated that she didnt know how to communicate that it was a problem with her phone rather than being frusterated with you. Just my take but I agree, not the best custoemr service there.

ThatsMrsUToU :  the dress is gorgeous. the color looks a bit off but honestly its a risk when doing custom overseas due to communication and not being able to see in person. I think it’s still beautiful.

EDITED TO ADD: I’m not sure which of the different codenames is the shop I used but I know people who have been able to ID from the production photo background. Please let me know if I need to edit but my shop’s initials are JBS.

The dress that I wanted was very different from most of the dresses I saw on here (no beading/no lace/no mermaid/no ballgown) so I was nervous about requesting a custom order. Thought someone else might have the same thoughts as me and thought I’d share. I had an overall good experience (A-/A). I emailed with one associate (Marta) the entire process and that was fairly seamless. I believe she is located somewhere in Eastern Europe (by timestamp etc.) and generally received a response within 24 hours of my sending an email. I had tried on the inspiration dress at a local wedding salon so I knew the overall look would work for my shape.

Timeline: I started the process of ordering a dress in late September. I made a payment on/around October 10. I received mid-production photos November 10. I had made a few changes and added on some items so made another final payment around November 22/23 and they shipped my dress November 24/25. Don’t have notes on when it arrived but I had my first tailoring appointment on December 9. I was pretty nitpicky with my local seamstress and went for fittings about once a week (and my sister picked up the dress the day before my wedding Jan 6). I knew it fit me exactly how I wanted before she picked it up I just had nowhere to store the dress in my apartment.

Alterations needed: The biggest alterations I made after receipt of the dress was to slim down the sleeves to fit my arms very closely (they were the same diameter all the way down and the pearl buttons were too heavy so the sleeves were swinging all over the place). And what I thought was a ridge/line/seam from the mannequin turned out to be quite stiff and visible boning in the chest; so I had that removed as much as possible (boning, pads, etc.). The rest of the dress fit like a glove from my order measurements (waist/length/etc.). I ended up changing my mind about shoes and the seamstress took about an inch off the front.

Sorry I don’t know how to format so the image sizes are all over the place. I had requested a few changes. I didn’t want the bow/sash. I wanted pearlized buttons (not fabric covered).

Inspiration dress was the Rosa Clara Sal:

chyanne :  My wedding is the 11th of September, I have told Anty that it is the 1st of Augest but would like it by july so I have time for local fittings. She has assured me that it is due to be dispatched on the 12th of May, providing I dont need to make changes.

Hello All! I am new to the forum.  I am in the process of searching for a wedding gown and a reception dress for my February wedding.   Does anyone have

any recommendations for a shop that works well with heavy beading?

aharris2018 :  I believe that the Shop and the Shop 2.0 have both done heavily beadded dresses. What are you looking to have made?

Thanks!

This is the dress I am considering, but with a shorter train.
