ThatsMrsUToU :  The dress looks beautiful… But did Anty ask if you could think?? Unacceptable.

I actually do understand what she was saying– the lining just looks grey in the video stills, but the photos showing nude are more true to life. But asking you why can’t you think about that was completely unnecessary.

From the sound of things, they’ve really been lacking in the area of customer service lately. Maybe they’ve been getting too much business.

I’ve been having a pretty negative experience with The Shop so far. I asked them to create me a shorter reception dress, not my ceremony one, as a feeler round. I didn’t know if I could trust them with a bigger project. Anyway, I sent them my dress and asked them if they could match the fabric reasonably closely. They said yes, but it would cost $20. I said sure, and wired them the money.

Here is the dress, and here are their choices for me to pick from. I’ll let you be the judge, but honestly in my opinion none of them are remotely close! And this service cost me $20. They shouldn’t have claimed they could match it reasonably close.

Above is the dress I wanted matched. I would have settled for similar color, pattern, etc.

Here are the choices they gave me:

They gave me the first two as options, then when I asked for more they sent the other two. When I didn’t like any of the 4 choices they sent me and asked for more options, they said that was it. $20 for that service, how worth it. I was peeved that they originally said they could match it closely, and I let them know that, but they said that it’s not their fault that I didn’t like any of those fabrics.

I decided to keep the project going though, because I already sank $20 dollars into it. I asked them to use a dyed lace fabric instead. I asked them to send me some lace options and they sent me TWO. JUST TWO.

I chose one having no other options and they made the dress. I asked for the neckline to be changed to a sweetheart neckline (I sent them an example photo), and these are the mid production photos.

I don’t feel like the neckline or the skirt pleating is very close at all. I’m pretty sad at this point. Hopefully this hideous dress can be salvaged.

Ladies,

I just received my final photos from The Shop. I’ve been overall very impressed so far by them (although I think I am a bit lower maintenance than most). I reached out to Irina exactly 8 weeks ago, and already they will ship me my dress (10-14 business days). IMG_5164IMG_5166IMG_5171IMG_5174

I’m quite in love with my dress and I’m so excited and nervous to try it on! Will definitely post pics once I receive it!

Just like the user above me got my final photos of my Dress from THE SHO. It took them 3 months exactly from paid order to complete! cannot wait to post a picture of me in the dress. I cried how much I liked how it looked.

I guess my project was too difficult for them. Seems like they do a good job on other dresses though. Success stories are always nice to see 🙂

csskkai :  Is there anything you are happy with? Its definetly salvagable if they take your notes into consideration, but gosh bee, it’s looking pretty.. not good. Sorry 🙁
I’m assuming the colour is a big factor because I thought the 3rd option of fabric is really nice. Definetly not worth $20 though! It makes me wonder what they would have done without that service!

rosiecotton88 : Hi! Yes the third option wasn’t terrible, but unfortunately purple wasn’t the look I was going for. However seeing how it turned out isn’t exactly a winner either. I agreed to pay the $20 for the fabric matching service, I just wish they were more upfront about their limited choices in the beginning. They must have had some idea of the inventory they carried, and never should have suggested they could match it. I also didn’t expect that there would be so few choices.

Oh well 🙁
