hannabee :  That’s hard to answer. It’s certainly nicer quality, you just have to decide if it’s worth it for your budget. I found the premium level (normal level) to be on par or better than some of the other popular shops people like (Linda’s shop, Shop 2.0 Anty’s shop). For me, I wanted the best I could get, so I did designer quality and loved it. However, if you decide to go with the premium route, it’s not like you would notice anything or would be missing anything since you wouldn’t be able to compare with their designer things. If it’s worth it to you to get the best, bite the bullet. If you still want a really great quality dress, premium is fine too.

PrincessPeach13 :  If you go to their website, in the “contact” drop down menu, there is a “customer service board” at the bottom of the list of names. That will take you to the trello board. There, you can work directly with James to get your dress made. You start by creating a quotation request.

I love this board because once your dress is started, you can move your project to the tab that says “Pending James Response (list monitered)” anytime you have a question and they will see it and answer it within the same day or maybe a couple days if it’s the weekend/holidays. Other dress places (Linda’s and The Shop 2.0) took WEEKS to ever get back to me (horrible experience).

After they answer your question, they will move it to the tab “Pending Customers’ Response”. It’s all very easy to use, and I love how the Shop uploads progress photos to the board. You can go through other people’s dress orders to see how they’re doing, and see all their progress photos. It’s pretty useful when deciding on a style.

Hope that helps!

Mid Production pictures from The Shop. Honestly, when I first saw the dress i wasn’t a fan of the lace. But I think the colored pins just made everything look excessive. I also realized that the dress I was using as inspiration had champagne lining and not ivory. So I was a bit thrown off when seeing the dress cause I was looking for a more airy effect. They’re looking into the price of revising the internal lining, if it’s too much to do I’ll probably stick with the ivory. Not mad at the work itself, trying to not be super picky during this process. Hope this helps someone. Feel free to share thoughts and opinions.

Hi bees,I am new to this site and have been trawling through all the posts regarding replica dresses, ( I also trawled for rose gold engagement rings and finally had one made thanks to the advice given on this site 👍😀

I was hoping someone could send me the shop names that you have all been referring to as I live in the canary islands and it is virtually imposible to find a decent dress here that won’ blow my while wedding budget

Wow,  this thread has been quiet with the Chinese New Year,  but I got pics of my dress today and they’ve  done a pretty good job so far.  The top is exactly what I want and the ruffled skirt isnt done yet.

I can’t wait to try it on with a petticoat!

Oh yeah,  and the inspiration is mostly this dress with a few changes :

OMG,  I’m in love(i mean with a dress, I love do too;) ) I didn’t get to try on this dress before having it made.  I do wish I’d had my measurements done professionally rather than asking my sister to do it.  But i was impatient and she was there.

The dress is a little big, but not enough to take it in,  maybe.  I suppose a corset back would have solved any fit issues, but I didn’t want one.

Without further adieu,  here is my $217 (wish shipping) dress beside the $1800 inspiration dress.

Front and back(with helpful dog)

I can’t believe how much I love it and how bridal I feel.  I was half expecting to be disappointed.

The dress was really well packaged.  It came in 4 4different plastic bags,  including one zip up garment bag.  They also threw in a free sticky bra and this cute necklace.

It is a fairly heavy and well constructed dress,  but I love all the ruffles to dance with. The chiffon is really soft and not shiny and the lace is also soft. The dress doesn’t feel scratchy at all!

I know this board is pretty dead, thought I’d add for whoever’s still lurking around!

My “The Shop” dress is finished and here! I’m very pleased with it, however the lining is much heavier than I anticipated and I think it may give it a more formal feel than I like. I’m considering having it removed all together to make it more light and boho-y for our Irish elopement.

The fit is really near perfect, the arms are a tad tight but I think that’s because they’ve gotten fatter since I ordered tbh! They really listened when I asked for extra room for the bump, I feel like there’s plenty of room to grow in the next few weeks! The length is perfect, again its long enough in the front to allow my bump to grow a bit more.

inspiration: (changes: asked for no slit and Maternity fit)

Final photos vs. original on real bride:

My dress on me (excuse the hideous glasses!)

and showing off my growing bump with the accessories for the wedding (still debating on a sash or not)

I had dress regret while waiting on the dress after final photos but I can confidently say I’ve fallen in love with my dress and am so happy with how it turned out!

I’d like to know the contact details for Shop 2.0. I’d also love to see some photos of the actually dresses created by them. If u ordered anything from them send me photos in private or forum links. Pretty please PM me asap . My wedding is in 45 days and i have so little time to find/order and receive a dress. Thank you!

agbride :  Unfortunately you’re not going to be able to get a dress made, shipped to you, and possibly needing alterations again once received within 45 days. It takes at least 3-4 months. You’re better off getting a dress off the rack so that you don’t have to stress about a dress you may or may not like–sorry bee. frown

agbride :  I’m also not sure ideas possible in 45 days.  My dress took 2 months and there was the Chinese New Year vacation in the middle and most shops quote about a month, but TBH,  its not worth the stress.  I’d go for someone’s dress from a local consignment store or eBay instead.

Hi all! Would someone be able to message me with the details of the Shop 2.0? I’m looking to have something similar to the dress below made – do you think they could do it?

Thanks!
