Bees,
This is part 2, we reached over 500 on part 1. Let’s please continue posting the picture of your replica dress and midproduction photos. Please post and help other bees reviewing replica wedding gowns. Please PM bees for questions on specific replica bridal shop or designer names
Rules:
No links for specific designer names/styles, replica shop name, etc. Please do not mention the desginer name, particular replica shop, PM other bees for questions on the name of the shop that made the replica (otherwise we will be shut down). Also check for TRELLO updates. Thanks 🙂
Mr. Mouse mentioned:
“Bees are still free to share photos of themselves in their replica dresses, and even to recommend to other bees that they seek information about replicas (without mentioning a specific company or including a link to any replica websites). We’re not encouraging or discouraging anyone from choosing replica dresses, we are just not hosting the discussion on the site.”

Thanks
CONTRI: for the new thread!
I have a question for you ladies:
When I submitted my quote request for the dress picture I posted, I was asked if I wanted the skirt beaded like the bodice? I kinda understand but beyond the lace and the sparkle Im not certain about beading on the skirt? Will the beading weigh down on the skirt to the point where it will not fluff out? What do you think ladies? Heres the pictures again for reference..

nygirla: I would continue the heading on the skirt only to the area the lace “spills over” on the tille

Posting to follow! My dresses (I’m having two made) went into production on October 7th so I’m patiently waiting for my mid-production shots. [content moderated for violation of Terms of Service] I’m toying with the idea of a reception dress at the moment.
nygirla: If you do decide to do the beading I’d have them do it sparsely and I agree with Nikkiibee about only to where the lace cascades on the skirt.

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and clarify a couple of things that some people seem to be confused about. 1.) To keep this thread and others like it from being closed, we ask that you do not mention any specific designer or dress names, whether you are referring to the inspiration dress/dressmaker or the company who is creating the dress. 2.) Please do not include any tags on the post with the names of designers or dresses. Thanks and carry on!

I guess I should post some pictures, since it’s paid for (Oct. 31st) and should be going into production soon 🙂

nikkiibee: I love the color and how airy it is!
nygirla: I agree with the pp, I would add beading to the lacy areas of the skirt and leave the tulle plain.

nikkiibee: its so beautiful and romantic. Can’t wait to see mid production photos. I love the color also.
I ordered my dress August 2nd and didn’t do any revisions, it shipped out yesterday – I’ll post pics once it arrives! 🙂

nikkiibee: yay finally . Seems like you have been around for a long whileee and finally took the jump 😉
MrsWFit: can’t imagine that excitement! I think you are one of the few who didn’t ask for revisions which is great! I ended up just asking for straps on my dress thinner and I wonder how long that takes that should be fast Almost considered no revisions. How long after mid productiona did they send you the final photos? Your journey was short(good thing)

S0uthernGirl: MrsWFit: Thanks ladies, I love the color too, but in the end I decided to go with off-white. Blush is one of my “accent” colors, with the main colors being natural shades of green and brown (and I am wearing green and brown jewlery) so I thought it would clash a bit too much.
Beckyjaa: Hehe… truth. My wedding isn’t until Fall 2016 (although, if my Fiance gets an offer at a university this week [he is interviewing RIGHT NOW] we may push it up…) so I’ve been going back and forth about ordering early.
I’m not a picky person and I was at the heaviest weight I’ve been my entire life when I got measurements done, so I figure alterations are impossible to avoid – I’m fine with that 🙂 I spent a lot of time going over the pros & cons and I LOVE this dress so I bit the bullet… finally!

Girls I am having communication problems with my consultant…
I will explain the best way possible:
When I ordered my dress from THE SHOP I got a quote for $680 for the base dress. I asked for some adjustments and I was charged an extra $30. My adjustments were leaving out beading on the cups and leaving out some lace appliques on the back. It was not very clear to me how it is more expensive to leave something out rather than to add it, but I was too excited to order to mention anything about it..
Anyway I forgot that I asked for no beading on the cups, but I told my consultant to put beading on the cups. She was obviously confused because when I ordered I asked for no beading there. I then explained that I actually do like it, since I also asked for no cuplining on the outside (and there are clearly cups visible) that with some beading on it it will look better.
I then explained that I want the beading to be just like the rest of the dress, because in the inspiration picture there is a different pattern where the cups are (I can’t really explain the shape) and that I don’t want that shape. Apparantly I suck at explaining because she did not understand what I meant after a few emails back and forth. So then I sent her a picture to explain.
She then told me that since I am changing what I want and I do want beading that I will be charged extra for this. This makes no sense to me seeing that the beading is not sewn on yet and the quote for the base dress (WITH BEADING) was $680. and I already paid extra $30 to leave the beading out, so now I have to pay even more because I changed my mind?? She said this may have a design fee since this was not included in your quotation. And also fee for revision for the beading on the top. (but it has yet to be sewn on?)
It is still not clear what I want so she asked me to draw it myself, which will make things worse I think so now I just told her to forget about any adjustments and just make it as the inspiration picture..do you think I will be charged extra for this?
Is it so unclear what I am asking to you ladies?
